Ahh, I forgot about 30 Days of Night...amazing vampire film.

Make her watch that, Troy, haha.

I haven't seen enough of Pattinson to say whether or not he's a bad actor. I think the Twilight books/movies are crappy, but ripping on Twilight has become a fad in itself. It's easy to say "Yeah! That stuff is aimed at girls and I don't like it because I don't like girly things!" Hating Robert Pattinson for being associated with (and pretty much the center of) the screaming teenage girls' hysteria is probably pretty unfair.

Twilight creeps me out because the characters are repulsive, and the relationship dynamics that they glorify remind me of how real-life abusive relationships work.

On a related note, the trailer is either coming out with Underworld or the Superbowl, right?

That's what we are thinking/hoping for yes.
I imagine it's either one of those or Ghost Rider in mid-February. I don't know if the marketing people at Sony are aware that there's a community of people online who've checked this website every day for 5 months waiting for news about a trailer, but they can't dissapoint now. An unsatisfying/underwhelming trailer would wreak unfathomable psychological and emotional havoc so many of the Hype users.

Garfield had nice hair...I would show it off too. Damn you genetics.

Its going to happen because Andrew Garfield and Robert Pattinson are BFFS.

Seriously. Which explains Andrew's extremely Edward-esque hair. He learned from the man himself.
Robert Pattisons best friend is actor Tom Sturridge which I am surprised I even know to be honest

Anyway its not Edward hair its English Public School boy hair. Perhaps Robert Pattison's hair was/is uncommon in the U.S but in the Britain you see tons of middle class white private school kids with hair like that long before Pattison made Twilight movies. Hugh Grant had hair like that as well

l0l

Everyone has that hair. Even I do. =O

It's easy to maintain and style.

Actually, all three of them are friends.

My hair is more glorious than any of you!

And can we PLEASE get off Twilight? :csad:

it's childish as ****, especially when the dudes friggin hair becomes a target. it's petty jealousy and it's the EXACT sort of thing a teenage girl ridicules for the lulz. but that's what you get from nerds on the internet, any one of whom would be more than happy to have been in the very same movies if only they had a shred of ability.

I fully support clever Twilight bashing but Pattinson's only crime is taking a high-profile, good-paying job. And you might not even like him as an actor but making the dude a target just because he's associated with the franchise is weaksauce.

And can we PLEASE get off Twilight? :csad:

Aye, sorry.

Robert has the same look in every picture he's in, and it's his look as Edward.

Do you guys think that rather just showing a spot during the Super Bowl that Sony could actually show the entire trailer during the Super Bowl.... say at half-time?

I know its a stretch but its a thought.

Yes, it's a possibilty. I guess it all depends on whether or not they have a trailer that goes with Underworld. They could also do a trailer after the game...have ads during the game that say "stay tuned after the SuperBowl for a very special sneak peek at The Amazing Spider-man." I see something like that happening.

Do you know how much it costs for merely 30 seconds of ad spotting during the biggest game of the year?

That will never happen. Never.

I think they have better odds of people seeing it if they held off on outting it with underworld and waited until the Super Bowl, playing it during or after and THEN release it online showing it later in the month with GR: Spirit of Vengeance.

or, even better, still holding off from putting it out before the Super Bowl, they can show a spot during the Super Bowl and at the end of the spot, tell people to go online to like Apple trailers after the game to see the full trailer for the movie or tell them to wait after the game to watch the trailer on tv with it going online shprtly after that.

This.

It's a few million for 30 seconds. Imagine a whole 2 minutes and 30 seconds or more?
