Saw the Avengers last night (very good), and for those who have yet to see the ASM trailer in theaters - you're really missing out. The photos and even online trailers we've seen do the actual footage absolutely NO justice. Visually, its quite breathtaking. Spidey's suit especially is spectacular to look at in it's intended format, and this is coming from someone who hates many of the design choices for the suit.

This last trailer especially has completely won me over for the new suit. It looks absolutely fantastic. The colors, texture and the lenses...well done.

The suit looks a lot better on film because it's in motion. In pictures, you can see all the stupid design choice. For example, I barely noticed the god-awful shoes in the entire 3rd trailer.

The suit looks a lot better on film because it's in motion. In pictures, you can see all the stupid design choice. For example, I barely noticed the god-awful shoes in the entire 3rd trailer.

The tracksuit stripes are the one thing I'd change, but even they're less noticeable in motion (though I still hope they're gone for TASM2), everything else I can live with. Though I wouldn't mind seeing him with the belt they added for the videogame.

I only got TDKR, Prometheus, and Brave when I saw Avengers.

I wanted to see it on the big screen.

In short, seeing the suit in the theater was such a vast improvement from what we have seen overall that the issues I have with it are either forgiven or will be ignored.

3D looked really good. (I didn't even see it in IMAX, which is where I'm seeing the movie.)

If anyone can tell me: If I haven't seen IMAX 3D since I was too young to remember, and it's been around 15 -20 years, will it hurt my eyes?

I thought I saw it when I was 5, but I just cannot remember. XD

I'm hoping it won't be too bad.

Everyone is different. If you don't have any problems in regular 3d films and regular imax, I don't see why you'd have issues, though.

And I'm sure it's been discussed, but I don't stay around these parts too much, but did they fix the silver on the shoes?

They didn't "fix" them. Did they get all paranoid and edit them so they're red in the promo stuff? Yes.

Maybe this has been addressed before, and if so I apologize. I just watched a YouTube clip of something from the virals and there was a poster for "lucha Libre". That featured a very spiderman like mask. Now does this mean Peter has a brief wrestling career in the film. If so that is interesting. Lucha libre seems like a great choice as most of the wrestlers are masked.
