I was about to say this.

That web yank forward has him floating in the air for a bit...

Yeah. I think it's supposed to be a slow-mo shot, the helicopter hovering at normal speed in the background is what makes the whole shot look a little off. An unfinished shot I'm guessing, wouldn't be surprised. Even the newest trailer had some unfinished effects (there's two instances where Spidey uses his webshooters and they don't light up).

No. You can see that the shoes are actually PART of the costume/boot portion of the costume.

EDIT: Wait, did you mean does he wear his everyday shoes as part of his costume, or does he incorporate a pair of everyday shoes into his costume (non-removable)? Because it's the latter. lol

Yes. Maybe he just stitches his suit using different parts of his own clothes.

That would be awesome, even though the costume looks quite hightech, him stitching it himself with different parts of his own clothing would be quite realistic in case of a financially poor young lad

We also see him stitching something in one of the trailers

The gloves look like actual normal gloves, same texture and everything. The suit is pretty "fan-made" (in terms of a teenager doing a costume, not the movie production), I love it.

Raimi's movies were the king of coincidences, alien symbiote falls in a park where Peter and Mary Jane are sitting. :o

I am fine with coincidences unless they are forced (Sandman Ben death) but this movie seems to have topped the previous movies in the coincidence dept.

hey guys what is this that im hearing of that sony execs hate the film already? doesnt make sense if they hate it n they already have a sequel in mind

I am not too sure myself. It is silly but it has left me concerned. I would be so disappointed if the film does turn out to be terrible !

im a huge spidey fan...although i feel a reboot is too soon...i hope this turns out great...but those rumors got me a bit concerned

Not to be a jerk or anything, but we've seen adaptations of Spidey's famous poses on Raimi's trilogy, so it's nothing really new.

As people said a lot of times, this are the same rumors that said that the Fox execs hated X-Men: First Class. And it's the one of the best superhero movies of all time.

Every single 'coincidence' is actually present in the comics(except maybe the fact that Gwen Stacy works for OSCORP)

Where you hearing that from then?

You know that the 20th Century Fox execs hated what they where seeing of Star Wars 1977? Look how that turned out.

Also, as some said here, the execs of the above company also hated X:FC. Look how that turned out.

Basically, ignore all rumors until we hear something concrete :-).

I loved that movie! My only complaint, just a tiny nitpick actually, is Magneto's costume at the end. It was a little too cartoony

there were a few articles on it and even a youtube video about it...im not dismissing this film off of those rumors but does anybody know what exactly they dont like about the film?

Peter doesn't get his powers because he is curious about his father, Peter didn't get his powers at OSCORP, Gwen working at OSCORP as mentioned, Richard Parker working for OSCORP, Connors working for OSCORP...

There is a difference between coincidence and connection. These characters are all connected to each other by what looks to be the films main villain, Oscorp.

He did get his powers from Oscorp in the Ultimate Spider-man comics

If I came across a bit jerky, sorry :-)

Wasn't saying you where dismissing the film, just saying take it with a pinch of salt :-)

But I wouldn't worry about the rumors. Just because Sony are making a good marketing effort and the actors and director seem very confident. Even showing footage at events, which seems to have been met with approval. They've even announced a sequel with Orci and Kurtzman hired to do a re-write on the Vandrbelt script. And they seem to like what they've seen too :-)

Anyway, for the most part, studio execs are never a good indicator on what to like/dislike anyway lol.

No, but see, that doesn't count because it's ultimate and not 616 and therefore can't be considered legitimate because everyone knows that USM sucks. "He said with heavy sarcasm."

Seriously though, the reason why ultimate norman is so good is because he feels like he owns Peter due to his reaction to the Oz spider. And he did one heck of a job selling that particular brand od crazy in the comics. I have a feeling we'll see something very similar with this franchise.

Yeah. It was a bit, but I still loved it (the costume lol). Great flick. If the execs didn't like FC, then that just shows the mind of a studio exec IMO.
