"Name-calling." Haha, you're gonna have to grow up sooner or later my friend. I have faith in you. You bring things upon yourself.

Lol; can't accept how even more of a "prick" you sounded that I did. I'm sorry for your ignorance on that.

Spider-man 3 or even Spectacular Spider-man don't give the best explanation on why Brock is so angry at spider-man. In the comics Brock first loses his job, then his wife, then he can't pay his rent and loses his home.

I thought Spectacular didn't do a bad job. Memory is fuzzy and I'll probably have to watch it again, but every time some screwup happened in Eddie's life, Peter and Spider-Man where somehow involved. Sure, all those times Peter tried to help, but he couldn't say that it was him who fought and gave Connors the gene-cleanser. So when you get that Lizard vs Spider-Man picture in the Daily Bugle, Peter comes across like a selfish jerk, who abandoned his friends for some money. And there were several moments like that. Than you have the symbiote who reveals to him that Spider-Man and Peter are the same, and increases the already existing hate for him.

There was actually a good build-up to give Eddie a proper reason to hate Spidey/Peter, instead of hating him just because he caught the real murderer.

I like the comics version more cause he really doesn't have a good reason to be angry at Peter/spider-man. Yes it was really tragic what happened to him in the comics and he has a reason to be angry, but not to Spider-man. He was frustrated, very unfair things happen to him, so like many real people who feel they can't do anything about it, he has to blame someone else of his situation, even though that other person, in this case Spidey, was just doing his job and didn't mean to hurt Brock's life. That makes him feel more like a real character

That being said, I was still very satisfied on how TSSM handled it

I think Venom would be good in this trilogy. Eddie's dad doesnt have to work with Peter's. Peter could find out about the suit and when he meets Eddie, he could start to trust him, so he shows him the suit. Eddie is very facinated by it and becomes obsessed with it. After Peter wears the suit and seed the effects on him, he tells Eddie everything about it. Eddie is angry with Peter because Spider-Man had stopped Eddie from getting many reports at the Bugle. Eddie pretends to take Peter's word, but later he goes back in the lab and puts on the suit. This would be the third movie, which would be 2 hours and 30 mins. One half, Pete will have the suit and face off against Mysterio. The 2nd half, Pete will face Venom.

Mysterio would be like Scarecrow, putting fear in Peter after Gwen's death, giving Peter more rage to the suit.

I would prefer Mysterio doing that leading up to Gwen's death, leaving Peter unsure as to who directly or indirectly was responsible in killing Gwen, and him in TAS3 investigating to find answers, as to what exactly happen and whose involved.

I'm not pushing my opinion, but I'm stating that it's silly to say Venom is better than Doc Ock. A CLASSIC villain will always be the better villain. That's just common knowledge. It's like if someone wants to say Miles Morales is better than Peter Parker. It's completely not true.

I know this, but thanks for the compliment sir

So, Chameleon, (the first villain Spidey ever encountered, and therefore the most "classic") is the best villain ever? Even superior to Green Goblin, Doc Ock, or Kraven? Absolutely common knowledge..:whatever:

Guess you didn't get the memo.

When you read posts of everyone saying "move on", don't try to be cool and reply.

Nice try on your remark though, but to no avail.

Please guys... let's not drag this out

Seriously though, no more. Back to Spider-Man.

Lol...yes please, back to Spider-Man.

The reason you like him is exactly the reason so many of us don't like him. I'm a fan of Venom tho not of his comic book character, but of his true potential as one of the big 3 when there's good writing involved.

Eddie is collateral damage and the best portrayals of his character are when you can really relate to both the hero and his point of view. What TSSM did to him was really subtle. The whole angle of Eddie getting pissed or screwed by Parker/Spiderman because he had to make lame excuses to protect his identity is really really good. You get exactly where he's coming from without it seeming forced or just an illogical reason to hate Spiderman while also putting the hero in the hot spot for his recklessness in some of his actions. Venom is a byproduct of Spiderman screwing up on collateral damage. Both the 90s TAS and TSSM had this portrayed rather nicely and well before Eddie even got the symbiote.

Those villains you said are all classic era...

Actually didn't see those, so my bad guys...sorry. :oldrazz:

In most incarnations Eddie is supposed to be a petty pathetic character, one of the things I think is best about the character. And that's exactly how petty people act: frustrated about a thing/things that happened to them, then convince themselves it's someone else's fault

They did that in Spider-man 3, but that didn't work because nothing else happened to him but that he lost his job. And after the "amazing night we had" comment to Gwen, and being devastated of Gwen dating Peter, he didn't feel pathetic but kinda mentally ill. And I really don't believe that's what they were going for

Anyway, I still really like TSSM version of him, but I wish we could get a version like said above in this movie series

Btw on a side note, has SpiderMarvelite been around here lately? Haven't seen him in a while

Not that I know of.

Oh, and just over 24 hours before our 4 minute super preview!
