Sony Image works has a habit of promising their final work will be more polished come release time but in reality they've been showing the final work since the jump.

shaky cgi from them.

I know. :csad:

While I'm liking the stuff being shown, I'm getting more and more of a Green Lantern feel from this. ****.

Yeah, that whole mask scene may be viewed as corny to some, but it's basically Parker admitting to himself what being Spider-Man has done for him personally as well.

Amazing that people can watch that awesome bridge clip and still find something to whine about.

Re. the preview length, not the cgi

Did anyone else think it was slightly funny when he called ASM the most anticipated movie of the summer? Sorry, I just think that is false. Not for me, but for the rest of the world lol.

That was funny, but everyone is saying that about their big budget films.
Some of the effects look kind of choppy, but im sold.

Well, the fire was a little fake, and when the Lizard ripped off the leather...yeah, that looked bad.

EDIT: IN B4 EDIT, LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

To be fair they're were never gonna say "This one is a bit of a slowpoke when it comes to getting mass attention" :P

I don't know how long it generally takes to fully finish cgi sequences, but the bridge sequence was still in it's first stages in February. Nevertheless, go in expecting Green Lantern in July.

Geez, seriously? the lizard ripping off leather looked bad? how so? in what way? It was a one second shot.

AWESOME new stuff! Fantastic scene at the bridge. For a second I thought the kid wasn't gonna make it (I had a flashback to when Gwen visited a bridge). :hehe:

The Amazing Spider-Man 4 Minute Preview/Trailer in HD

AMAZING!!!! Oh wow.....that was so good.

I think the scene with the kid in the burning car was so cool. If ever he needed a reason to take off his mask that was a good one. That whole bridge scene looks incredible. I spotted C. Thomas Howell's cameo.

It happened twice, and neither time did Imageworks even think about it apparently. If you ripped off leather with sharp objects, you aren't going to rip off ONLY leather, which the Lizard does...somehow. He makes no imprint in the cushioning beneath which makes it look like he suctioned the leather to his hand and just tore it off that way. It's like a magic trick and it looks terrible.

I mean, I still love the footage, but that once scene (the leather) really bugs me. It makes NO sense.

Yeah lol I thought he was going for the car but then he just webbed the kid up. The kid wasn't falling very fast though so it will be different when he tries that on Gwen.

I can't believe that shot is finished. If it looks like that after release I'll eat my hat.

Didn't Marc Webb say they were still working on all of the Lizard stuff up until release day?

The bridge sequence looks good. The mask coming off every now and then during action sequences is a given...we've got two we know about at least - with the little boy and when surrounded by the police. I don't think it's much of a big deal here or in the Raimi series. As we know it allows the actor to emote better in the suit, put a face to it, etc. And Peter trying to calm and connect to the kid with the mask makes sense for me.

All aboard the TASM Train.

Aside from the seat having indestructible cushioning, the Lizard's arm looked awesome in that shot.

Well, no, they can't. The movie would have to be shipped to theaters a couple weeks in advance, but still, who's to say they'll fix every scene? Such as the leather tearing scene.

DAMN! This movie looks phenomenal. Honestly, my most anticipated film. I think the emotion Webb is encapsulating is something we won't see in any other comic book film.

Wow, whoever is doing the marketing campaign should be fired. This has got to be one of the WORST marketing campaigns I've ever seen for a feature film since Green Lantern.

Just bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad.

Dunno. I imagine they would work on it as long as they can.

The thing is they probably didn't just cut this preview together today and that version of the clip might be weeks or months old for all we know.

I know people have a lot of hate for Imageworks but they do better work than that.

OK, I'll admit. It does.
There is so much texture to it. But seriously, that shot is not ready for theaters. CGI is pretty key in those moments, because you don't want the audience to be taken out of the movie because of bad effects.
