Probably.
This actually pleases me.I wanted something to happen between Gwen and Peter if Captain Stacy dies since Gwen knows Peter is Spidey. Perhaps Gwen thinks that Peter could have saved her dad.
Anyone think Gwen hating Peter will be too similar to Harry hating Peter in the Raimi films?
Just screwing with Roach

t:But that would not generate more money. if they just wanted to make more money, I think Sony would have just stuck with the old crew and old style. The third one didn't turn out so great, but it made more money than the last two, so people were obviously going to pay money for a fourth one.Sony wanted something darker and more serious to battle Nolan's Batman and Raimi wouldn't give them that, so they did away with him.
I would seriously hope that Martin Sheen would be allowed more screen time than what he was given in SM1. That would definitely be a big waste of talent.Since the song for "Ben's Death" is the tenth song I hope it means he'll live longer.
than he did in SM1, I am so sorry.

What is hard to do about that?Easier said than done.
Maybe Gwen Stacy will become a Police Captain in TASM2, and when Spidey is getting beaten by Goblin he'll need her help, but she won't help him. Then the morgue police doctor will tell her at the last minute, "Gwen, I was there the night your father died. The scars on his body were made by The Lizard, not by Spider-Man." Then Captain Gwen Stacy will help him defeat Green Goblin, but she will die in the process!

not anywhere close to the truth
I thought Raimi didn't like the script and wanted more time but Sony said no. But if that's the reason it's dumb because delaying a sequel for a year is shorter than waiting 5 years for a reboot.
Then please enlighten me because this is what I heard:
Sam wanted to go back to old style, without Sony involved, and advertised Spider-Man 4 as just that. However, Sony put their hands in the project anyway and purposely trashed it so that Sam would walk away and they could reboot the series based on James Vanderbuilt's script. (Which was already written by this point, which only helped prove my point.)
I might have missed something, but I doubt it. I followed the ending of Spider-Man 4 quite extensively.
Sam didn't like the script because Sony kept throwing writers at the project who kept adding dumber and dumber things. (Vultress, Vulture taking over the Bugle, Spider-Man killing Vulture) Sam wanted to change the script, but Sony said no, so Sam walked.
