idk. As ambitious as it would be, there'd just be too much going on in the movie. All this AND we still have the main character that has his own journey too.
Two villains in the sequel would be just fine though, but not two big time primary villains. I'd rather have one primary villain and one secondary (like Chameleon). That way the story is more focused and much less muddled imo. Look at X-Men 3. In the process of having two major villains in Magneto and Phoenix, they couldn't even focus much on any character because so much was going on. SM3 coudn't do it either because it was 3 freakin villains and became the massive cluster**** we know it is.
I haven't read much X-men comics, but I don't know if Magneto and Pheonix were good villains to put together to begin with. Though, the fault wasn't in having two villains at all. And in ultimate comics Green Goblin and Doc Ock origins are already together, those are much easier characters to have together
besides the journey the hero takes is always based on what villains the movie has and the movie is always better when it's mostly about the villain/villains (with a few exceptions of course).
