Yeah, except I actually think what little pros we have seen, most are already improvements.

Over what? The Raimi films? I wouldn't judge it yet, but yes, some things seem to surpass the Raimi films.

Yes. I don't really want to mention them in fear of causing arguments.

Well 1st of we have the classic Spidey personality we all know and love, the drama and chemistry seems so much better than the pervious, so does the amount and way of action. Raimi had thats simple action, this looks like a massive scope with intense battles.

The scope appears massive, but we still don't know how long or intense these fights will be.

Well so far the Tower falling, the gas shooting in the air seems pretty big.

And action seems very intense, look at all the wall crawling and doging, claw marks especially. Spidey gets his ass handed to him big time.

The only time I remeber that was in SM3 when Sandma---

Wait, there was no SM3 what am I talking about :oldrazz:

I don't think anyone who hasn't seen it yet can say it's better than the past series. I loved all the trailers and footage of Spider-man 3, and look what happened there...

But I am very optimistic from what we have seen.

Yeah I pray to GOD it doesnt come out turd-ish.
2 years of nothing...nothing.

But, it doesnt look the slighest bit crap from what we have seen so far.

At least if it does turn out to be crap, those who didn't like the previous series will most likely have 1 spider-man film they really enjoy.

Putting the new trailer with Avengers and MIB3D, 6 minute AMC, AGT 4 minutes.

Good going get the word out, most people know ASM is now coming out.

what are the chances of this movie doing better at the box office then spiderman 3 did?

Realistically not very high. Spider-Man 3 made, what, almost $900 million at the BO? I'll be shocked if TASM makes nearly as much.

Well itll be the better film theres no arguing that. So word of mouth+loved actors with fanbases+hero that has a fanbase if millions and us know by everyone.

Chances are, maybe yes.

I doubt it'll earn close to it, to be honest. And that's me saying this, a proud supporter of this reboot. More importantly, who gives a f***? It'll make enough to have a sequel, anything over that just isn't anything we should worry about. We won't see any of that money. Leave the brass taxes to the suits. We're fans and should have better things to think about than money. I hate BO talk. Soulless.

Having seen 3 times in 2D the international trailer (australian one on Internet) in theaters, and one time in 3D, it look ten thousand times better in 3D, really, the webslinging looks much more real, and CG looks very strong.

The shot with Pete falling from the skyscraper looks iffy but I bet it'll look great in 3D, don't see a problem with the great shot of Spidey going around to hit the Lizard, will look great in 3D.

Now, it doesnt mean it'll look like crap in 2D but I can feel they're really pushing the 3D aspect.

I have to agree with you there. Theres hope still, but it will be a better film so screw the money!!!!

Were finally getting a Spider-Man movie with everyhing a Spidey fan wants.

I just care that this movie makes enough to warrant a sequel and one with a good budget. Of course; quality > sales.

I think everybody knows what this movie is going for. Keep the rights from Disney, add web-shooters and quips to please the fans, make a flashy action movie with a leading man who appeals to teenagers and is super-cool, all while trying is hardest to make you forget the Raimi series.

It looks like it'll be a fun, cool-lookin' movie, but I think it might rub a lot of people the wrong way. Among those people will be the general audience, who have relatively recent and fond memories of the original series that is being essentially remade.

Sounds good to me. Besides, I think Andrew Garfield has the ability to be more than super-cool. He has the ability to break hearts, very subtly. But he can also emote like a madman.

But the trailers and footage for Amazing Spider-Man is a lot better than Spider-Man 3 IMO. For Spider-Man 3, they gave away the Aunt May scene where she gives Peter the ring, 95% of the battle with Harry/New Goblin, and a glimpse at the final battle.

For TASM, we see great chemistry between Peter and Gwen in the hallway, a shot of Spider-Man saving a kid in a burning car over a bridge, Peter messing with a car thief about his knife, and "torturing him," a better viral campaign with Dr. Connors, etc.

"I'm not coming back for 30%. I'm coming back for everything!"

It has been 10 years since the first film. They better look better.

I will give credit to the Sandman birth scene when he is trying to solidify himself. That was really well done, and it was beautiful CGI. It actually took them almost three years to make.
