Well, it was mostly on Sony for wanting to cancel the series. It's hard to blame Disney on that one. I do blame Disney for wanting to keep going with USM since it's such a hated show.

Actually there's a poster on here who has a nice message board explanation from Greg himself about wht the show was cancelled and it's not really any party's fault: marvel got their animation rights for their chatacters but Sony still owned the rights to spectacular. For the show to keep going, marvel would've had to do some legal connection allowing Sony to keep the show running which he says is easier said than done. Plus, Marvel really wanted to make their own spider man show since this is the first time it's solely a marvel product and according to the writers on the show, Joe Quesada told them he wanted to make a spider man show for kids. With that in mind, I have no issue with it cause I know it's not aimed at me

It's a pity that SSM was cancelled. Twas a great show. I gave USM a chance but it just didn't sit well with me. As you said, it's not aimed at me, so I won't hamper on it for not having elements that I want, but I'm not going to watch it either. My main issues lie with Loeb as a creative director.

Yeah, I mean I watch it if I remember to catch it, I'm entertained but that's it. I won't be copping any DVD's but I'm not the aim for the show so it is what it is. Marvel wanted to do a kid show and it's a kid show down to every inch of it lol. My little cousin loves it

quick question did anyone check out the 6 minute spidey event thing before Men In Black?

SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT

Click at your own risk. You will have to read to find the spoiler...

I don't know if it's true. If it is, I'm mad I found out. Hopefully someone can prove this wrong or fake.

The Synopsis is more than an year old
Previously Webb was thinking of setting up the movie in Peter's college life and finding a younger lookalike for some high school scenes, but they changed that
The fact that it mentions college proves that its an old synopsis

Why did they listen to the guy who made the "one more day" storyline?

That is one of THE worst excuses in the book. There have been so many shows out there that are aimed for kids, and are also very entertaining for older audiences.

Smart writing always tends to be entertaining for everyone. You really think TSSM wasn't aimed for kids? Cus you'd be all sorts of wrong if you do. But it had great writing and great voice acting. Everything about that show was done so well.

I always ignore "it was aimed at kids" BS. Its a lame excuse for shoddy work.

Spectacular Spider-Man was definitely for kids, but as you said, others can enjoy it, too.

Although it wasn't so great, I wish they kept "The New Animated Series" on the air. I feel like it they got some better writers, they could have made the perfect Spider-Man series. Great animation + great writing = Fantastic long lasting TV series.

Plus I love Neil Patrick Harris as the voice of Peter Parker/Spider-Man!

Is there any chance of USM getting cancelled and Spectacular Spider-Man coming back??

Young Justice and Korra are two examples on television right now. And don't get me started on the genius of early Spongebob, JLU, BTAS, Teen Titans, and The Last Airbender. :yay:

I tried to bring this up before, but nobody responded. For the first person perspective shot, where do you think that fits into the movie? Does anyone think its the final swing?

Putting in spoilers just in case

I think someone said that there's 3 of them from about 30 seconds to a minute long and that the teaser one is in the movie. Also, apparently one of them is when he gets thrown off the building by the lizard and has no web fluid. I don't know the truth of any of that information though.

Interesting. The reason why I say the first person POV from the teaser is the final swing is because its the only shot of Spider-Man swinging that is during the daytime. So I figure its after everything has happened with the Lizard.

I also heard of the shot of him running out of webbing. That must be one that we have not seen yet... unless its the one of him looking down at the buildings at night in the third trailer?

All of this was confirmed to be fake ^

The number of POV shots and their context/chronological order are unconfirmed.

So far we know there is at least 2 shots based on the trailers, and I do feel like there has to be at least one more...

Since were specualting. Ill say they have 3 that go for about 30 seconds.
1st one- When he 1st tests his powers out in the street, normal clothes.
2nd one- Lizard throws him off the building and has no webbing, we see this in trailers if can peice in together.
3rd one- Ending scene, end of of the 1st trailer.

So im agreeing with whoever it was, but I hope there true cus im pumped for the POV in 3D.

Hey, guess what? Today is June 3rd, that means one more month! Prepare to be amazed! :D

Well either way we know we will have POV shots! My only worry is that it will become overused and old by the second or third film (if they decide to continue using it).
