This is my bet. Brings it back to his father as well, as the parents weren't touched upon in the previous series. Webb and company are highlighting that angle as a reason why the reboot will be different. In any case the webbing will be explained, just as Raimi did so with his version.

Yeah. There's alot of things they are going into with deeper detail. Not that the Raimi origin was bad but it seemed like they didn't put effort into explaining things fully and were mainly concerned about him becoming spider-man asap.

For instance, while we got the vibe and notion that Uncle Ben and Peter were very close they never really explored it. The most we got was the with great power lecture and that was it. Other than that, it was just felt like Uncle Ben was a surrogate father and nothing more w/o the very close relationship aspect.

as long as the style tone of the trailer is good that is all I care about.

I've seen a great trailer and been disappointed with the end product - SM3

I've seen a 'meh' trailer and been blown away with the end product - TDK

so even if the trailer disappoints it's not the end of the world

This also applies to 'X-Men: First Class'. The trailers made me think "Well, that looks really f***ing stupid", but the actual movie was amazing.

I didn't know where to bring this up, but it's been bothering me for awhile. BUT, why do so many people complain about Andrew's hair? As far as I can tell, about 90% of the images I google of Peter Parker from the comics have a similar "combed up" styled hair cut. So what gives?

The funny thing is as people have said time and time again his hair isn't 'Twlight hair' people have had hair like that anyway.

The whole hating anything remotely linked or like anything from Twilight comes across as petty and childish anyway.

I'm not a fan of Twilight but I dont' have some obsessive vendetta against it either

Mohawk Peter would definitely be a deal breaker for ome people but not alot.

maybe this is me being naive, but isn't it just hair? I mean Pete has had different hairstyles in the comics for years but at the end of the day, it's still Pete. I agree with Spideyfan that it's just something for people to pick on if they already hate the idea that the movie is being made. Lol like Troy said, there is no way it is a drastic change and again, it's just hair geez. As long as he resembles Peter Parker in character, who cares

I agree. lol It is kind of funny how some people complain about his hair. Like you and Spideyfan said, it's merely a nitpick to add on to their hate/opposition to the reboot.

In general with TASM, I'm looking forward to watching and picking up on the differences, in that it's a reboot distancing itself from Raimi. Kind of like playing through GoldenEye Reloaded and seeing where they deviated from the original game, and where they retain things.
