Nothing too revealing but it does reveal what sets off Parker wanting to find his parents and validates the speculation of Oscorp's involvement with that plot.

Yeah, that's old. Plus, it doesn't really say anything we don't already know.

By the way guys, if you want a example of how the Connor's will transform into the Lizard, watch The Fly with Jeff Goldblum.

It'll be similar to that. Just with out the Uber sex drive :woot:

^^ Well, I don't think it'll be exactly like that even without the sex drive, lol.

LOL, yeah. I just meant that intially, he'll probably want to cure himself but as the transformation progresses, he'll begin to embrace the change and he'll want to make other like him (hence that swat team being turned into Lizard men).

Which makes me wonder what a David Cronenberg Spider-Man film would be like?

On The Amazing Spidey Video Game Thread, Spectacular23 was talking about Peter building his web shooters in a warehouse. Sounds very intresting. And I think the scene in the trailer where he's at the docks, I think thts where he finds the warehouse. It'd be cool if tht was kinda like his hide out! Also I think he practices web swinging there with a chain.
Hey I was mentioned, and this is what I heard months ago
Spider-Man is not in The Avengers.

YES!! :awesome: Sorry but I just don't see that happening and as far as the transformation sequence of the lizard. I don't think it should be all dramatic. At least after the first change.

It was leaked thru the presentation of some toy that the Lizard turns SWAT guys into his lizard-men. Excuse my ignorance on this matter but did something like this happen in the comics? And if so, how did the Lizard accomplish this? Was it by an infectious bite or something else?

Stan Lee about Andrew;
Fans might be skeptical of the upcoming “Spider-Man” reboot (just five years after audiences saw Tobey Maguire swinging through the skies of New York City), but according to Marvel legend Stan Lee, new franchise star Andrew Garfield is just as good as the original.

“I am Tobey Maguire’s biggest fan. He’s talented, he’s the nicest guy in the world, nobody could have done a better job on ‘Spider-Man’ than he did,” Stan — who co-created the iconic superhero in the ‘60s — told Access Hollywood’s Scott “Movie” Mantz at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.

“But, Andrew Garfield brings his own charisma to this role and he’s as good as Tobey was,” Stan continued. “I think people are going to love him.”

And don’t expect a carbon copy of the original web-slinger in “The Amazing Spider-Man.”

“He doesn’t imitate Tobey, he does his own version of it,” Stan told Scott. “Just as Tobey was the essence of Peter Parker, so is Andrew Garfield.”

Adding,” You’ll love it!”

No offence, but I think he's going to be even beter than Tobey... :o

Obviously Stan's the kind of guy who in this position is gracious to both parties. He's a class act.

Lol...Webb is already the better director even though he's only made one other film?

Yah...that makes sense...:whatever:

A great movie it was, but Webb didn't do anything magnificent in (500) Days of Summer that'll make him a better director than Raimi, who, imo, is an excellent producer behind some amazing shows and made Evil Dead, a film that is a cultural icon. That's a status on its own that Webb hasn't achieved.

Garfield has had much more emotional roles than Maguire, so I understand how one can say Garfield is the better one.

And....Stone is better and hotter than Dunst. That's fact, haha.

Even though he's had a much shorter career than Tobey, he's already proven to be a much better actor. IMO.

Do any of you think we will be getting any hints towards the symbiote story line in this film? I heard something about hints coming up during the Oscorb Lab scenes?? Something about a connection to it, curing cancer? If this film is a winner (which it more then likely will be), then we WILL see Garfield delve into his darker sides, and FINALY get the badass black suit story line presented to us!

The symbiote storyline is so cool! Just like in the comics, it should be stuck to Peter! It should morph in to anything Peter thinks off. A whole movie of Peter just getting taken over by it, and towards the end, fighting to get rid of it! I can see it now... it's beautiful :-)

I would love to see Venom, but it's probably too soon after SM3 unfortunately. Webb said the film will drop hints about future villians, so we'll see. I would definitely bet on Green Goblin for the third film so the sequel is intriguing. GG is Spidey's greatest adversary and deserves a three film arc like Magneto IMO. He may not be in the first film but his presence will loom large I'm sure.

Sony should be working on a separate Venom franchise if you ask me. He's probably the biggest villian in the MU and could definitely carry his own franchise with a solid concept and good writing. Just don't release it in the summer.

Why is everyone ignoring my Lizard question? Does anyone know the answer?

^ I agree that Goblin should be used again at some point, he's too good not to be. But on the other hand I'd like to see the types such as Mysterio, Shocker, Vulture, Electro, Scorpion, etc in the films. It would really show the audience that Spider-Man is definitely not a one or two trick pony and has real depth and variety in its villains.

So true. And even if it wasn't for those roles, there's still really something exstremely Peter Parkerish about Garfield, that Maguire just didn't possess. I really liked Maguire's performance, nothing there. But I have no doubt that Garfield will finish Tobey off! So to speak. And like the above already stated, Garfield sure as hell's got many more emotional roles than Maguire. Just watch him in Never Let Me Go, for one!

Andrew possesses a pretty unique, very down to earth quality. He has such great charisma and a strong on-screen presence. He also seems genuinely humble and sincere in every role he takes on. You just believe in his character. He'll kick ass as Peter Parker and Spidey, I just know it! But it's his Peter Parker persona I'm most excited to see him play out! He's gonna knock it out of the park!

This guy should've so won for best supporting actor in The Social Network!

"How about now, you still wired in!?"

"Sooorry! My Prada’s at the cleaners! Along with my hoodie and my **** you flip-flops, you pretentious *****ebag!"

"You better lawyer up ass-hole. Cause I'm not coming back for thirty procent - I'm coming back for everything"

Just the way he delivers those lines and his whole facial expression during that whole scene. He's raging! He's so damn believable and sincere! love him.

Urm, something similar happened where the Lizard wanted to turn all of mankind into reptiles like him (something like that, I haven't read those specific issues, just saw that piece of info pop up a few times). I'm fairly sure it wasn't a bite or anything though.

I know he kidnapped people in the 90's animated show to turn them into lizards.

Dunst is not as consistent as Emma but Dunst completely knocked it out of the park in Melancholia... brilliant work

I remember seeing something like that in the animated show too but I don't know if it's also something from the comics. Do you know how he changed them into lizards?
