There's no pit webbing.

Just look at this image.

Nor does he have it on the toys.

It's just wishful thinking. lol

And thank god. The armpit webbing never made much sense to me.

Why does it have to make sense? It's just there for looks.

By "make sense", I don't mean in the practical sense. For example, Batman wearing a cape and ears on his cowl doesn't make practical sense, but aesthetically it does as it evokes bat imagery.
Armpit webbing doesn't really look good, and it just comes off as pointless and superflous.

I think the armpit webs would look better on the Raimi suit than this suit, tbh.

It's just a preference. I'd rather not see them either. They seem a little silly.

I mean, he's got the webbing on the suit.

...So why web pits? lol

Probably.

Why do some heroes wear capes? Why wear a fancy costume at all?

It would vary based upon the hero. Batman's cape serves as his wings and conceals him, Superman wears it because it looks awesome, et cetera. But their capes are an integral part of their costumes. Spider-Man's armpit webbing is not.
Spider-Man's an agile character, so why would he add armpit webbing to his costume that would inhibit his flexibility?

High five

It's annoying

They were made of practical use in Batman Begins, that makes that movie awesome

Agree to disagree then, I always liked the way it looks.

At least in TSSM animated it's small, in the JRjr sketch it's extra annoyingly large

Not to mention it'd look awkward in scenes where he's just... standing there with his arms down. With these little white/silver flaps of whatever poking out of his armpits.

Batman's far from the only guy to wear a cape. and just wait until he gets it caught in a revolving door like Dollar Bill. bang bang! How's that for inhibiting your flexibility? :awesome:

Anyway I'm not going to argue while you guys pat each other on the backs for being such connoisseurs. Whatev.:o

And when he puts on his shirt

I dont know why but for some reason I always thought he used the armpit webbing to soar or to stay airborne longer. Like a guy in a wingsuit or something.

Seriously dont ask me why.

In comics and cartoons they can make it look thick and solid. In real life you probably wouldn't even see it unless you focused on it real hard.

When web-swinging, the wind would catch on the underarm webs like that, but hinder his web-swinging. It's just a design Ditko did because he felt it looked good, it never served any real purpose.
Spider-Woman used her under-arm webs as gliders though, because they wanted to differentiate her method of travel from Spider-man's.

Love the new pic of Garfield. Just not happy how they're marketing this Huge franchise. Like they showed and Marketed a hella lot for the trilogy franchise, Hell even Cereal boxes had a something for spider man. Anyway, I'm pretty sure those battle scenes mentioned earlier are pretty accurate just hope It's nt only four action scenes with Spidey.
