I'm on the fence about itFrom everything I've read and seen about TASM, I expect a terrific film.

As of right now, I am too.
My hype has dwindled to...nothing. I really need that trailer.
But in order for it to look convincing, science has to be kept in mind.
Did you honestly think that they weren't going to use CGI in a Spider-Man movie?
And Marc said that it's only for certain shots.
Some of you guys are getting overexcited...

So, basically, RIM just got called in to do some marketing for TASM. Wonder what it is...

As I said, I thought they would be using some, but with all the talk of the budget being lower, and a focus on realising him with practical stunts, I fear that I will be disapointed with the results. Spider-man is one of those characters whose action scenes, in the books as well as the movies, are really something else, his powers make him one of the most interesting heroes to see onscreen actionwise. the other 3 movies really did him justice, and I worry that with not as much money being utilised, I won't get those thrills onscreen.
But, y'know, we will see, I am hoping for the best with this movie.
I have more faith that they will get the drama right, put it that way. I think a lot of people took Raimi's action skills for granted, but I still remember how skeptical I was about them realising Spidey's powers onscreen, and he managed to get that onscreen perfectly.

t:According to most recent rumors, the total budget is around $220 million?

Too expensive
How far did inflation go to differ the cost of making SM2 ($200 mill) and this one?

But that's an additional $20 mil that seems a bit too much right nowUrm... too expensive?
At least $200 million is the norm for movies like this.
That one has too much CGI and stuff to compare here, at least that's how it seems to meBetter comparison would be between SM3 ($258 million).
That sure as hell didn't help, but no, it's mostly because nothing has been very exciting. The last exciting thing was the website which was only exciting for the first day or two.
...did you just have a stroke...?
Rhys Ifans himself has said it is. Now, I don't know how much information the actors get on stuff like the budget, but it's the best source we have, haha.
Aziz, you're a very confusing poster.
Would you be happy if this movie was on a budget of 3 dollars or something?
As far as I'm concerned, bigger budget = better looking effects, etc.
Not really sure as to how it could be a bad thing.
Agreed. Plus, most of the money going towards this film is for the cgi sequences featuring the Lizard.

What's wrong in making the same effects with high quality with a budget of $180 mil? They should try something like that
