Think I finally figured out why I thought this image was so horrendous.

Spidey's right arm... wtf
Midget arm?

Yeah. The arm and the eyes make Spidey look like the little fellow in Game of Thrones.

Or, you know, the arm is bent with the elbow pointed away from us.

With the advent of Photoshop, people have stopped understanding the concept of perspective and light.

I don't really notice little details like that and they don't really bother me as much, especially if it's just a promo image. Sure, it's not a great picture but I wouldn't call it horrendous either. It looks fine to me, it's an interesting angle showing off the textures of the suit and it's stylized enough to look pretty cool. And yeah, the arm could just be bent as well.

to the point where Spidey will come off looking more like a jerk to the point the audience will start losing sympathy for him.

Even Marc Webb says that Spidey is supposed to kinda act like a jerk here - it's to help show how he's "drunk" off the power. I'm not concerned at all...Character growth.

But if he's already fighting crime and protecting innocent lives before his Uncle Ben is murdered, then, regardless of his motives, Peter is already using his "great powers" in a "responsible" way.

There's a difference between "fighting crime and protecting the innocent" and seeing a criminal and beating them up for the kicks. One is the life-long dedication of a noble and selfless act with the intent of keeping others from harm. The other is a short-sighted, dangerous and selfish act with the intent of letting off steam against a couple of criminals (an aspect people tend to not think of) because they "deserve it anyway". I would hardly call the latter responsible, but that's just IMO.

That arm looks pretty straight.
Thanks for proving my point about photoshop. :oldrazz: :)

That's due to the angle we're seeing the arm. If you look closely, you'll see that the darkest shadow in the arm is the inside of the bent elbow.

I'm also going to say that despite what can be inferred from the trailers, Uncle ben will die by the time he becomes Spider-man and that Ben's death will be why he decides to make the suit. It just makes sense to me that this is how he would treat a criminal after his Uncle's death. But once he realizes that his is uncle's killer, he'll have to decide on what to do which will either be, get revenge or turn him over to the cops. Of course, we know he won't get that chance because the patrol cop interrupts.

The thing is, im literally addicted the preview.

It has everything a SPIDER-MAN MOVIE SHOULD HAVE.

Feelings, action, jokes and plain awesomeness of Spider-Man from the comics.

lol There's a guy over at IMDb claiming he has seen the "un-cut" ASM film because he is a "Sony producer". I'm going to PM him just for laughs. XD

Apparently, he registered on Sunday May 27, 2012 but was last active Saturday May 26, 2012?

If anyone just happens to have a link to said preview, I have no problem with someone sending me a PM. :woot:
