We've known about Captain Stacy dying for weeks and it's been speculated since production even began. And we knew Dr. Ratha would be involved with OsCorp for months.

It's been a while since it was thought that Stacy would die from debris like his 616 counterpart. Saying he ran out of webbing and didn't catch him that way could just be thought up. Too soon to say it's accurate enough to prove you saw the film.

And Dr. Ratha...yes, it was mentioned already that he would be needed with Lizard's plan.
