Anybody know when they'll start marketing the film in stores and such? Like on cereal boxes and things like that.

I wouldn't expect a tremendous marketing push as there was back for the the previous films.

It carried a huge amount of momentum and Sony rode that wave accordingly with providing a ton of promotional material everywhere you could look.

The circumstances are different now. Sony Pictures/Entertainment is ailing they're not as frugal with their spending on marketing to the extent it was back then.

If this movie turns out good and is well received both critically and financially then I'd expect a ton of more promo stuff for the sequel but for this one just expect a very average at best wave of promotional stuff.

Agreed completely, tbh. Back in 2006 for S-M3, we already ahd a 2nd trailer by this time and a 10 minute clip was being released soon.
