Say what you say people but I don't know if I like the score... I'm not a hater, I loved everything about the movie so far, but... I'm a musician, I just cannot let this slide

the score samples we gotten, many of them sound bad, and ironically the game soundtrack sounds better than the movie's.
Though, one thing I liked extremely much, it starts on the 1:00 mark:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ho4lGRFz_E&feature=g-upl

that really taps into my emotions :) I wish the entire score would be that good! From the other snippets it's hard to say yet, I kinda also really like the triumphant lizard track on 1:28 (yes I'm gonna assume it's for the lizard)

overall, I'm VERY worried because I want this movie to be perfect. But, we'll see...

Agreed

So...wow. Just got caught up on everything. I'll go over them one by one.

The Gwen/Lizard Oscorp clip: Pretty cool clip but you can clearly see that theres a LOT missing. We go from 8 minutes remaining to 1 minute remaining in no time. So that makes the editing look like total poo.

The Cpt Stacy/Peter slip: Loved Dennis Leary and Peter's facepalm after he said "Connors is transforming himself into a giant lizard". Great acting and nice dialogue.

The Police chase scene: Again, I feel like theres a couple parts missing, but loved what I saw. Spidey quipping was very spidey-like. And the score when he is swinging was great! IDK what in all hell people are talking about. The violins, etc reminded me a bit of Thor and some of Avengers score. So idk why people are hating this all of a sudden. Seems like a lot of hate for this movie (from cbm) is just because they want to hate it. So much bias and double standards. Put the same score in a Marvel Studios movie and theyll be ****ing all over the place. ****ing morons.

Overall, can't wait for the movie!

I don't think people were expecting something so light and joyous sounding. But then again I guess some people might not like that for a spider-man movie.

I love the score in the "Police Chase"

No offence, but you love everything about this movie regardless what it is
If you do that's cool, but I just find it kinda hard to believe

That being said, I still like almost everything. It's just some of the score that bugs me

Avengers score kept bugging me too. I never felt it all that satisfying when we got the first samples. But in the movie w/ context it actually worked out pretty nicely (tho still not THE best score imo).

I don't have too many problems with the score. I can't see how the score when he was swinging was bad at all. It was exciting, swooping, light-hearted and fit the mood. Other than that, I'm gonna hold out for the full movie to judge.

Most of the people *****ing about spidey's wise cracks are the same ones who were introduced to spidey via the Raimi trilogy and I remember this as clear as day, back on 2003 on these very boards I was saying the characterisations were off and that the movies were misrepresenting spidey's nature.

It's not the mood of the score, it's how it accents, it's more about what detail the score holds. Again, I'm a musician and score really is that important to me

on the 0:44 there starts this "dyy-dy-dy-dyyyyy..." which gives the music more power in that part, but I feel it's too generic and should've been done differently. The Harmony sounds a little bland, something that would give it more of a vibrant feel

Last 3 clips are awesome
And wow, Lizard finds Gwen and she didn't unleash gas or sneeze

No offense, but please stop constantly saying that. You don't have to be a musician to judge music. Just as you don't have to be a film major to know what is a good movie.

Ya, there are generic aspects to it, but other than in Nolans Batman movies, almost all superhero movies have had a slight "generic" aspect to their score, just as that one. Its just a known formula for enhancing the mood. Actually, scratch that, not just most superhero movies, but most action movies have had the use some or the other "generic" tropes. I don't find it bland at all, but maybe thats just me. Its not the best music I've heard by any means, but it serves the scene well. Its not bad in any way.

Yeah, that's really surprising to see some people are not happy with the wise cracking spidey, while it's something that really defines the character.

Yep saw that, watch the one I linked it has some new Spidery things.

Ok sorry, you're absolutely right

Maybe generic is a wrong word for what I mean. Bland or "grey-sounding" is more like it. Sometimes it's hard for me to really explain how I feel about something because while I can speak a lot of English, I find it hard to describe some feelings

Edit: huh... the more I watch the clip the more I like the score, it's really starting to grow on me

What does Gwen say in the 3rd and 4th TV Spot to which Peter replies 'No'?

Cant make it out

This movie will be great. I hope it does well. Can it beat The Avengers?

Im sure ASM wont take up so long on his Parents side, well see some amazing acting from Mr. Ifans and the rest of the Ol' Parker family for about 30 minutes, then go straight to Peter Parker.

I say 30 minutes of back story.
How long do you guys think it will go for?

So did anyone watch the Stunts video
Who do you think is that black dude smashing Spidey to the window etc??
I think it is Pre-CGI Lizard or something
