He said it was only a "fun" movie. But he's hating on the story, acting, characters and what not. He's making it sound like it's a Transformers kind of movie.

I wouldn't listen to him, even though I'm not a big fan of prometheus after seeing it last week. Hope you enjoy it, bud.

I enjoyed prometheus, and though I had a few issues with the movie, the acting was not one of them.

Absolutely nothing wrong with posting positive reviews. It's great that it's getting positive reviews...I like to think that any comic book movie is going to be well made and get great positive reaction from the audience.

I was referring to his "I told you so" comment that me and several others have been talking to him about. He's made multiple post about planning to rub it in other people's faces and shouting I TOLD YOU SO to them over and over.....those are the responses of a child that makes all comic fans look bad, makes the Spidey fans look bad, and makes him look bad.

It is possible to be elated or terribly mad about something without turning into a petulant child.

Yeah. I'm not sure what he is trying to prove either. All of us here want it to be good. We wouldn't be otherwise. Just because we are skeptical doesn't mean we want it to suck. Far from it. We want to be wrong.

Man it takes forever to get caught up on this thread. So many pages. Glad to see positive reviews from the tweets. I'm excited about this flick more than ever, less than a month away! I hope its on par with TA as some reviews have suggested. That would be..... AMAZING haha

I didn't see anything wrong with what you posted. It was very clear. I always imagined a mod's job on the board to be one that defuses problems, not feeds them. Poor judgement there, and I mean that with as much respect as I can muster. If I didn't think he was a hater before, I'm starting to now with that eyerolling attitude on display.

This isn't a nice situation at all.

I think C. Lee sums this up well for me:

His point was....there is no need to resort to name calling because someone has an opinion of a movie that is different than yours.....he was saying for everyone to stop acting like children.

I am just going to leave it at that as opposed to comment further. I have said my peace, but at same time, I WILL state my opinion when I feel I am being attacked for stupid things like enjoying certain movies. Mod or not.

Back to this movie: I am glad that people seem to enjoy it from the early screenings, but I am waiting to see more in depth things posted before I get excited. I am not a rotten tomatoes person, but I am curious to see how critics react to the movie. I am currently waiting for that.

Oh, I definitely enjoyed it. David was fascinating, Shaw was awesome [BLACKOUT]and I loved how I didn't even recognize Guy Pearce as an old Weyland.[/BLACKOUT]

No. Really, everyone liked The Avengers. Someone has said this great line about Avengers being like "Transformers, but smarter". I think just of the action itself, it garners a huge audience. Plus, it is a smart movie...so maybe some, like Devin, just cared for the action?

I hate those people. I know people have different opinions, but those people are the worst. Some of them were on IMDB about Avengers *****ing about how their brilliant films aren't scoring as high, and just insulting anyone who likes it.
