The Amazing Spider-Man: The Game - Part 1

I have to give it to Beenox, it seems like they're really giving the fans what they want out of Spider-Man, I've never really seen these guys put that much time into a movie tie in game. Watching that interview shows that they're working with some pretty great ideas, I'm also glad the game is taking place after the film, I was never really a fan of movie tie in games attempting to retell the films story with added/sometimes uneccessary story elements, taking the route of making the story occur after the film gives them free will to add in whatever they see fit.

Beenox looks to be doing a great job on this game and once again it proves that they want to do Spidey justice. They didn't want to settle for a straightahead movie-tie in and opted to go the route of making a new, fresh story that takes place after the movie. Kudos. Everything about this game sounds fantastic and I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Let's get a great 616 game first, though. Though I'm not gonna lie, a free-roam Nueva York would be INSANE!

2099 would be cool but a 616 free roam game is what I want first and foremost.

Yea I'm hoping that was it. It just seemed odd. If the scene from the trailer where Gwen tells her father that Peter "lives with his aunt and uncle" happens right after the clip Sony released of Peter being confronted by the doorman, then it would appear that Parker is Spider-Man before Uncle Bens death. In the clip it showed Peter stuffing his Spidey costume into his book bag, yet, I'm assuming right after, is when Gwen makes the mention that Parker still lives with both his aunt and uncle.

Wow, I don't remember a doorman scene. Guess it's time for a trip to yahoo movies for me.

Yea it was like a little 30 second clip from the film and i was pairing that clip with the trailers, but its ok, all of my worries that i had of uncle ben possibly not dying were cleared up by some spy footage.

IMO, i think they're just trying to find more ways to incorporate Spidey's rogues in a more tactful manner instead of just throwing them in for the sake of having them in the game. I think it's actually clever.

Beenox added the belt. It was a creative decision on their part for the game. This is the first I've heard that the filmmakers requested it. If that's true, then maybe it will be in the sequel movie?? It's possible.

Thanks for that, I mistakenly assumed you were referring to the sneak preview footage that was shown last month.

Also, it serves as a natural progression, I guess. After running out of web time and time again, he'd learn to store his web catridges in a place where it was easier to recharge.

Well this game serves an epilogue story to the movie so it's a logical guess that if the filmmakers wanted the belt, he's probably going to be wearing the belt in the next film.
