I would've loved this in-game, it was part of one of my favorite Spider-Man TAS arcs. Spectacular Spider-Man might've had the best animation and webslinging, but TAS was the most mature Spidey show to date.

You mean the show with the most ridiculous censorship issues, with everyone being teleported, "plasma", shoulder tackles everywhere, no punching, no broken glass, no mention of the word "Sinister", talking babies, etc?

SSM, on the other hand, tackled what was essentially a drug addiction storyline.

I couldn't agree more. TAS was geared for kids. As an adult, I found TSSM way more enjoyable. (Now, I think I'll have a glass of chocolate milk and go play with my action figures.)

It took some time to beat the robot, less than I expected

TSSM and the MTV show were more mature than Spider-Man:TAS

Not to forget, you can beat a villain by damaging property, but never by punching him

i loved the cartoon (still waiting for the DVD to finally happen)

i thought the show handled the Man-spider story far better than the comics did..

heh I remember it made a come back in the comic's for bit when that vampire guy broke MJ's writs and petere was ina hospital bed and saw that trans formed and well it got gory after that. but can't blame him(peter ) for that last part. that guy pushed things too far with hurt her in front of him.

although rediculously censored, i thought the 90s series has easily done the best job at adapting the comics. Though, i'm still not sure why Hydro-Man was given the amount of screen time he was, and sandman was never shown at all...

Some changes were good (i really liked morbius and black cat (ignoring the super-soldier serum aspect) lol. some were bad... (Mj clone)

that super soldier serium was modified with mutant DNA though so it was more genetic engineering then just being doped up with a special drug and permanently strong, so she was different from cap and those other american worriors as they called them, in that show.

smh, Electro was Red Skulls son in the 90's cartoon if I remember correctly.....my God, why the hell did they do that. I guess Max Dillon getting the holy hell fried out of him was too much for the kiddies, prolly thought they would go out and do the same thing. When I was a kid and I got shocked by electricity, I liked it, it was like a rush for me, dunno wtf their problem was

lol your the first person I heard say they enjoyed being shocked. lol I don't know it's kind like how my cousin's reacted to my comic's of x-men and compared it to the fox cartoon and saw how not fully accurate they were like who was actually there during the phoenix saga. it's holly wood for some reason some one always feels the need to change some thing. it's why part of the video game industry is having a hard time with them now. there's adding to and making things contemporary and then there's just pure changing. they got it as close as they could. Not sure but it must have been a fox executive at work with certain changes.

It helps lol. The 90's cartoon was great in it's own right, but dude, laser guns, certain words not being said, editing origins to fit in with censor guidelines, come on. Don't even get me started on that anime inspired, Deadpool breaking the 4th wall, kiddie cartoon Ultimate Spider-Man, good God, Marvel, you guys have showered us with some outstanding films in recent years yet the cartoons dont even make the cut....wtf!??!?!?!?!?!

yeah well it probably doesn't help that the recent avengers animated series is already being canned for the movie version ether. some one at marvel over seeing the animation side of thing's is a bit skitso. seriously that really isn't necessary. but I said that in another thread already.

Regarding Hydro-Man in the 90's series, I'm glad they developed the character as much as they did. It made me like him, whereas in the comics I never cared.
They probably used him because they couldn't use Sandman at the time, though.

ROFLMAO, i thought the same thing, hahahahahaha, what an idiot, that Shocker. Everything else is explosive except for the mask. Back in the day, I found Hydro-Man as kinda cool, lookin at the 90's cartoon on Netflix and being alot older now, I'm like "Dude....what kind of ****in creeper are you?" he was bent on getting MJ, was she like the only hot chick in NYC, seriously!?!?!?!?

On the topic of the game, which the anticipation for is getting damn itch.....

I finally caught a glimpse of Lady Liberty in one of the gameplay vids off in the distance while swinging down the westside briefly before turning a corner.

Please tell me we can ride a copter out to the statue again It's been nothing but wallpaper since Spiderman 2. I loved hitching a ride out to it as well as Mysterio's take over of it being one of my favorite moments in the game.

I'm actually considering taking the day off from work on Tuesday for this. Spiderman 2 holds a special place in my heart. As far as I'm concerned this is the second coming.

Doesn't sound like my Gamestop is doing a midnight sale and I didn't see any promo posters for it. So probably going to be a Tuesday morning pick up.

The game leaked, like they always do, somehow, so expect some gameplay videos today. Here's some basic information, too:

46 acheivements totaling 1000 Gamerscore, no avatar awards, and it's about 7.7 gb

Yes, you read that right. 7.7 freaking gbs! I dunno if some of that is padding, but if it isn't, holy crap. That's really big. Bigger than Skyrim big.
