So I just got back from the movie... Movie was great in some places but like many other people had said, a little overcrowded in other parts. There were also some things that really didn't feel necesary imo.
The first half of the movie was the main problem for me. This is the part that felt a little bit rushed and overcrowded. There's a lot happening but there's just no time to let it all sink in, to dijest it if you understand. The second half was really great but the main problem was the goblin fight. I won't go into to much spoilers but yeah. Overall a good movie and this is Spidey like we always wanted too see in terms of quips, movement, etc. but just not yet the best one we have gotten so far.

what would you rate it? and did you liked it more than TASM?

What didn't you think worked with Goblin fight?

agree with what you said about the first half although i suspect you mean
The Alexei sequence in the beginning perhaps

Thanks for your thoughts. Which is the best Spidey movie for you? Do you like TASM2 better than TASM?

At least the negative reviews here are more detailed than the Mirror review (the first one) :o

It's hard to rate it right now tbh, I have to let it sink first and think it over.
Also hard to say right now, it feels completely different than TASM imo. But I'll probably end up liking it more than TASM yeah. If I have to give it a rating now, maybe a 7.5/10, but this can increas overtime I think.

It felt a bit rushed and Harry being unconsisnous felt a bit too easy, don't know.

No that was fine but everything all happened fast after each other imo, Harry being introduced, electro origin, Peter and Gwen etc.

i get what you mean, i had that issue with the Times Square battle all over a bit too quick for my liking. there was a slight pacing issue. but i guess it's down to personal preference on how much it bothers you as a viewer i do get where you're coming from though

Really loved this movie, so far its easily my favorite comic book movie of the year. No question better than Captain America. Days of Future Past may change that though. I thought they excelled at mixing the comedy and drama while keeping a good pace. Never thought it was too overcrowded or anything like that. Andrew Garfield is just phenomenal, he is Spider-Man plain and simple. He hits the comedy bits perfectly and the drama he is crazy good at. So damn believable and the relationship with Gwen is the best ever in comic book movies by far. The movie is beautiful and colorful to look at and the cg is great. Holy crap though, the action is crazy amazing. Such a delight to the eyes. Ah its hard to describe its amazingness. I can't wait to see what they do with ASM 3. 9.5/10

 I'm happy to hear praise. What did you think of the first film?

Just thought of a slight annoyance i had with this film and it bugs me that
Dr Kafka, was such a stereotypical mad scientist type character. Given how important the character is to Spidey in the comics as an ally i just hope it doesn't grate me too much.

He was funny, but it's just a slight annoyance i can get over it
Given he gets off'ed by Electro
i just felt at the time it cheapened a long standing character. still it's not a major bug bear.

so does that mean we'll see the real ashly Kafka his daughter maybe?

Who knows, it isn't alluded to that he has a family. However he is also only referred to as Dr Kafka. So they could still use Ashley if they needed to i guess

Sony should have been careful im seeing people think sony/fox has teamed up stuff just from the llittle clip of dofp

I think Sony sold Ad Space in the middle of a credit sequence as they had nothing to go there. bit odd to advertise a rival studio's film otherwise.
