Out of curiosity, what did you think of the first TASM film?

I really liked the first. I was a fan of the Raimi movies but TASM was much more of what I thought Spider-man should be (quips, the learning curve etc..) I give TASM a 6 or 7 out of ten as a good film that was going in the direction I'd want a Spider-man movie to be.

I defiantly loved TASM 2 more. With my few issues I feel like this was way closer to the Spider-man movie I've hoped for. A few centimetres off, but unless I'm writing/ directing/ casting them I doubt I'll ever see what I consider to be a 'perfect' Spider-man movie

"Rhino does NOT have a big battle at the end. He appears at the end. But there is like 2 seconds of slo-mo shot fighting, then the end.

And that is not how Electro is defeated. Peter, in attempt to figure out a way to stop his webshooters from getting electrocuted and short circuiting (or something like that), tries to attach batteries to his shooters, so the electricity can get stored in the batteries and not break the shooters. The batteries keep getting overloaded and explode.

So Peter and Gwen plan to overload Electro in the same manner until he blows up. They do so and Electro sort of, I guess turns into stone, or whatever and shatters into hundreds of pieces.

Harry is already beat up when whatever happens to Gwen happens, and laughs at Peter. But they don't fight afterwards. I know, I thought that was weird too.

And it's pretty clear if Gwen is dead or alive. If not in the scene itself, then the very next scene.

There's an epilogue that involves the Rhino."

Haven't seen the movie yet, but from what I've been reading, I can say that I'm quite disappointed. My major disappointment is that we'll probably never have a better Peter and Gwen doing the real Gwen Arc.

I wouldn't go that far. There needed to be a need for Spider-man to turn the power back on other than New Yorkers having to go without their laptops for an hour. But yea, over the top.

Idk, it seemed like the concussion/head impact caused the nose bleed.

But Spidey didn't even know it was going on (ie, it wasn't established in the movie that he knew). The stakes with the city were enough I thought.

I kept watching it thinking "where's the pay off?" and I'm still looking for it.

Sounded more like that old famous [BLACKOUT]*snap*[/BLACKOUT] to me just amplified to try to make it a bit more obvious to the non-comic savvy fans what happened.

Just seen it. I personally really enjoyed it. I think the reviews for this film have been exceptionally harsh personally. Yes there are flaws but there is so much good that I could excuse them. Peter and Gwen are the focus of this film NOT the villains. If you go in with that mind-set you will enjoy it far more. The action was exceptional and the film was very funny.

It is not as good as Spider-Man 2 but it certainly takes the number 2 spot for me. Honestly if you liked TASM1 then I think most of you guys who have not seen it will really like it. I am definitely going to be seeing it again ! I personally give it a 3.5/5.

Spider-Man isn't Batman. Batman is simple, the villain is always the main attraction. That's not the case with the greatest Spider-Man stories. The villains are always present, but the focus is always Peter Parker's life. I'm getting beyond hyped for this, waiting for May 1st is getting REAL tough.
