The amazing thread of Uniforms and Logos - Part 2

Oregon is breaking out uniforms that honor their mascot, which are similar to a fan concept that's been floating around the past 4 years.

and Colorado treated them like a bunch of mascots on Saturday.

Burn those and never wear them again...

Typical "holier than thou" attitude by the Packers. The self-appointed flag bearers for the "sanctity of the game" or "playing the game the right way" or whatever other self-serving BS that organization loves to spew.

Even Pittsburgh of all teams went out and had some fun with the concept, but could the Packers (a team who historically actually wore an all green uniform at one point) be bothered? You bet your ass not.

Goodell is so transparent with his cash grabs that it's embarrassing to be involved. Not sure I would like the all green with yellow numbers anyway. I believe that was a lighter shade of green, not the same as the hunter green they're known for sporting now.

Pens rocked their new aways last night for the first time. Love them (the jerseys that is, the Pens can go **** themselves! ;) )

Bengals will be sporting these for "Color Rush" tonight. They'd actually look pretty cool with white helmets. NFL's pointless "one helmet" rule strikes again!

The one way that teams could get the look of a 2nd helmet but without actually changing helmets would be to do a vinyl wrap, like many do on motorcycle helmets, motorcycles, and cars. Only problem would be taking off the wrap without leaving a sticky residue.

are the bengals playing someone with a bright color rush or something? they could've been sweet in all black with orange or vice versa

heh apparently due to a mix-up both the Stars and Panthers wore white jerseys to their preseason neutral site game over the weekend :o

it's miles better than that washed-out, khaki-looking, Vegas "gold" they were sporting recently.

really if all NHL uniforms could return to what they looked like in 1992 I'd be ecstatic.

Except for the Bruins. The last upgrade is beautiful.

anyone notice starting with the Playoffs that the MLB hats now have the New Era logos on them?

LAS VEGAS’ OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT OF NAME, LOGO AND COLORS SET FOR MID-NOVEMBER

http://www.thehockeynews.com/news/a...-of-name-logo-and-colors-set-for-mid-november

The speculation about what the Las Vegas franchise will be named — and what the team will look like — has gone on since the day the NHL awarded the city with a team, but the wait for the identity of the league’s newest member is almost over.
According to University of Las Vegas play-by-play man Dana Lane, a ceremony has been set for Nov. 18 at Las Vegas’ Toshiba Plaza, which is situated just outside the doors of T-Mobile Arena, the future home of Las Vegas’ NHL franchise.

Originally, Foley had said he wanted the name, logo and colors selected — as well as merchandise prepared — for the pair of Los Angeles Kings Frozen Fury games that are slated for the T-Mobile Arena this coming weekend. That idea fell by the wayside, however, as hold ups with the name delayed the process.
With the way speculation has gone surrounding the name, it seems unlikely that anyone other than high-level members of the franchise will have a firm idea of what the team will be known as until days before the announcement, at the earliest. Names such as Nighthawks, Desert Knights, Silver Knights and Golden Knights have been among those floated as possibilities, but Las Vegas owner Bill Foley has confirmed the moniker will be one of the Knights-associated names and he said the name had been decided on in early September.

“We have our colors picked, we have our basic logo picked, but it’s going to need some refinement,” Foley told Sportsbook Radio’s Brian Blessing in September. “We have moved some color schemes around, and the team will be something Knights. K-n-i-g-h-t-s. We have the name. The name is trademarked, we have the domain name. That’s all I can say right now.”

Is anyone else worried about what Nike will do with the NBA uniforms next season?
Not really as the only thing I'm concerned about with them is that their latest basketball uniform template is not the greatest, especially the neck and arm holes of the jerseys. I'm sure most teams will be sticking with their current jersey cuts/designs so it won't be widespread. I think the first team we'll see with brand-new Nike-designed uniforms will be the Portland Trail Blazers, who've said they're already working with Nike on a new design that won't be too drastic of a departure from their current set.

Yes I remember reading that they will be getting new uniforms but nothing to dramatic.

From what people have said, it'll likely be slight updating of the logo, wordmark, and diagonal/vertical striping on the jerseys and shorts.
