To be honest Aquaman is also a KING and almost as strong as Superman and has been a legit superhero for years.

^^^IF the film ever gets made, thats how he should be depicted. However, my idea for the films story treatment would be to have him be a fallen King for most of the film and show the events leading up to how he regains his throne at the end of the film.....or perhaps lead up to it in a 2nd film.

Basically, my story idea for the Aquaman film would be similar to what happened to Maximus in Gladiator!

Aquaman's absurdity may be the film's greatest strength. I have no issues with someone, even in the context of the movie, THINKING Aquaman is cheesy or recognizing the relevant absurdity of his powers. He then needs to prove them wrong.

Why Stop at great whites?

Lion Fish: Spikes are used as defensive weapon to deliver a venom that causes terrible pain, headaches, breathing difficulties, and vomiting.

Giant Jellyfish: Jellyfish are very dangerous. Now this is just unfair. These creatures are now in the waters of Japan.

Electric Eels: Enough said.

Piranha: Classic terror.

And Lets not forget the ancient sea creatures of the dark depths.

^Exactly. So much you can do with talking to sea life. Not to mention out of water he's still nearly invulnerable as his body is able to withstand the pressures of the depths of the ocean, has super strength which I believe has been classified in the 60 ton range, has shrugged off machine gun fire etc.

So true their is alot of things they could do with an aquaman film and with the right direction they can make him a great character and hopefully live down the cheesy superfriends version.

^Damn right, honestly everytime there's an aquaman toy or shirt released, they always are the first sell out. Obviously this is a very popular character because he's a mythical archtype. Superman is America. Batman is the human will to do anything you put your mind to. Wonder Woman is an example that women are more than weak housewives, and stands for equality. Aquaman is in and of itself Adventure. Water parks, aquariums, swimming pools, people/kids playing in the rain without a care. Aquaman is fun. Everyone can remember beinga child a thinking it would be cool to live under water and swim with dolphins and stuff.

Aquaman has been one of my favorite characters since I was a kid. I liked him above all the other JLA members. I guess that's bias because I'm a pisces, but Aquaman un like most superheroes actually rules the world. 2/3 of it. And seeing how he's not just a man of the underwolrd, but the surface world as well who says he can't kick a little ass on land. Lobo, you and Webhead said it best, there's so much you can do with this character. Remember in the comics where he lifted two city blocks underwater, or when he fought an omac, and even though he lost he pretty much owned Despero (a superman villian) with telepathy. Aquaman isn't limited, the people just have a limited imagination.

^ Badass! Those would definetly work. If Pitt can play Nazi hitman he can play Aquaman. If Not him Holloway would work as well. I didn't even recognize him!

The Eel: Doug Jones. Eel made a one time appearance but it was very memorable. He has telekinetic control over water and used it to almost kill aquaman by boiling, freezing, and actually trying to drown aquaman with the water inside his own body.

I dont know much about some of the other characters I'll have to think harder about it. i really like scott speedman as AJ

im sorry about that, that was the part of the whole movie. its stupid for superman to have had a child with lois and she still doesnt know who he is. unless what they're tryin to say is that she got pregnant after them being together in superman II

should get Gore Verbinski to direct this POTC films and bioshock interest shows he liked underwater atmospheres and a solid director who knows action as well
