Ocean Master: James Purefoy

Garth/Tempest: Rupert Evans

Kordax: Jonathan Breck. Jon has a nack for playing terrifying scaled creatures so I figured he'd make a good choice for Kordax.

Another name tossed in for Aquaman: Andy Whitfield. He has an upcoming major role on the Stars channel in their new Spartacus series along with lucy Lawless. I think Sam Raimi has a hand in the show if I remember correctly. If this can play Spartacus, then I think he'd make a good candidate for orin.

Casting Aquaman is very hard. You can argue up & down the mountain for a big name actor or an unknown. Either has its advantages. It really depends on if WB was going to do this,what direction they would want to go.

I think cast an unknown as Arthur but then everyone else needs to be known to some capacity.

Orin/Arthur= Phillip Winchester
Mera = Emily Blunt
Black Manta= Michael Ealy
Orm/Ocean Master= Jonatha Rhys Meyers

I cant think of other supporting characters. I liked Ving Rhames role in Mercy Reef as the guy who tells Arthur the truth. They could put one or two guys in that kind of role and they could make them big names

As far as character I think they should kind of make Arthur like in Mercy Reef. Young doesn't know that hes Atlantean except make him more of a loner/disconnected save for one friend

and I would make him a loner/disconnected because if he has little friends later he wouldnt be splitting his time between the surface world and Atlantis. He should still protect the surface world but I dont want to see him (once he accepts his duties) coming to the surface to see his friends

I dont care what type of actor or what type of aquaman it is, as long as they pick the right actor and its written and directed by the right people. i just wanna see aquaman.

I also like Lobo's choice. She's defintely high on the list. I think I'd place her over Fisher. Cin0, Peyton (Love Darkman by the way ), Webhead, and Blackman really bring up a great point in terms of direction. Aquaman has a varied history. An Aquaman movie could go the Mercy Reef route, a young man discovers his powers, learns how to use them, faces very dangerous being or beings (Kordax,Manta,Orm) for title of Monarch. He could already be the ruler of Atlantis, then he loses everything (Son dies, mera leaves, gets exiled, loses hand), he can be a mythical protector (waterhand/waterbearer).

Just as long as there's no surfer dude A-Man. No knock against Alan, he voiced him well in aquaman's cameo in the New Frontier animated movie, but hell no to surfer dude. I can see it now, Aquaman riding a wave while the beach boys blasts in the background. But as long as Aquaman gets his due and can be looked at and mentioned seriously in the same breath as Superman, Wonder Woman, and imo (After DK) the overrated Batman. Also I don't know if I said this before but excellent casting Blackman. And Penn Badgley for garth:

I LOVE Rachel Nichols, but I've got another role for her in mind.

I thought about the story for a long time and what I'd like to see. I decided on a story where Orin and Mera are already the rulers of Atlantis, and Orm and Black Manta are the villains. based on that here are my picks

Orin/Arthur Curry/Aquaman-Scott Speedman

Mera-Alicia Witt

Vulko-Brendan Gleeson

Orm/Ocean Master-Santiago Cabrera (he was actually cast as Aquaman in JL:Mortal so i think it would be cool to see him as the villain of an actual Aquaman movie)

Black Manta-Harry Lennix (he was my Martian manhunter choice, but I REALLY like the idea of his as Black manta)

Damn great casting Lobo, I can se Cabrera as Ocena Master. And for vulko, excellent. All I could think of was:

I'd go with Michael Fassbender as King Arthur of Atlantis and Christina Hendricks as Queen Mera; his wife and mother of his son.

I'd also have "Aquaman" as a standalone film; a lead-in to JLA similar to The First Avenger: Captain America, instead of a sequel franchaise.

actually toby is officially back for next film. Their was that rumor awhile ago where someone was claiming they were going to reboot spider-man series and michael was one of the few guys mentioned.

thank god, i thought he was gon get replaced by michael i dont really like him all that much. maybe if they did a movie about the spectacular spider-man . that's how they should do it, just have the movies comin out and keep a different one goin. they could do wat they already have the amazing spiderman, the spectacular spiderman, peter parker spiderman(i dont know how many people have heard of it though), and do maybe ultimate spiderman or the web of spiderman. since all of his stories are different.

Well original plans i believe was to have the films titled off of the various titles of spider-man but then something happened and they just did spider-man 1 2 3 etc...... But lets get back to aquaman.
