Is it too late to add Dicaprio to the poll? I guess since this is an older thread and many of us have voted already, it probably is...

If he's producing this, I wouldn't be shocked if he had his eye on the staring role. He wouldn't be my first pick, but they could certainly do alot worse.

Older Arthurian inspired king of Atlantis version. The bearded short haired look right before Sub Diego and after he got his water hand, but save the water hand for later. And the costume from Sword of Atlantis. It was a nice update. Keep it under the sea for the most part. Like Star Wars or a sword and sandal flick that takes place in Atlantis.

Like in the first one, there is a civil war or something in Atlantis and Orin is dethrones and exiled, than do a water bearer/superhero sequel, than a Sub Diego adaptation.

Well i didnt think smallville's take is much of a joke, yea that aquaman outfit isnt the best looking thing, but i liked how they did his powers and what not.

It's not the outfit I'm dissing..

It's the way they characterized him. He was a complete tool BRO. Look at the dialogue they gave him. lol

He was definitely the complete opposite of the badass version of Aquaman. That's the version we need to see onscreen.

Can Travis van Winkle act? if so, I think he's got a great look and build for Aquaman. Also he's 6'

I've seen him in a few things here and there, I can buy him as a surfer boy..

Not so sure if he can pull off the regal King of Atlantis. I think they need a serious established actor for this one, otherwise it could easily turn into a joke.

He would bring some legitimacy to it, but I'd prefer someone more in line with Fassbender.

Leo would be great behind the camera also.

I'm having trouble believing Leo would take a role where he's bare chested in tights, but maybe that's just me.

Even with that, it's still tights. It would be something out of the box for Leo, but still interesting.

I wouldn't even mind the actor having a regal accent (like the Kryptonians in STM) to play up his royal lineage.

This might just be me but after watchmen, Patrick Wilson can make a good aquaman.

I don't know if Travis van Winkle can act. He's done well with *****ebag characters but the material has been pretty limited. IMO, he might have been an even better Johnny Storm than Chris Evans if he were older.

As far as Aquaman goes, I'm not sure what to think.

For the record, it's a pilot for a tv show and not a movie. And I think that pilot was awesome and wouldn't mind if the movie was similar to that.
