The Avengers The Avengers Critics Reviews Thread - Part 3

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch referenced this movie making lots of money and the fanboys. Negative reviews always mention it. Same thing happened with some of the rotten reviews of TDK too. I dont know why some critics have such hatred for fanboys, big budget movies, and success. They would be out of a job without these things in Hollywood.

Personally I can't wait to hear AB's thoughs on this film.

Looks like Sam Jackson isn't the biggest fan of A.O. Scott.

Aye, that about covers it.

And this, ladies and gents is why Sam Jackson has his place on Hollywoods Mount Rushmore of Badasses

I know I'm not the only one that read that with Sam Jacksons voice in mind with his classic inflection and tone, right? :funny:

I have a theory that Samuel L. Jackson is a cover-up for Nick Fury. Or that all the characters that Samuel L. Jackson has ever played are cover-ups for Nick Fury, the only one character he has ever interpreted his entire life. I'm not sure which one of this versions is right though.

"The Avengers" is done well by Joss Whedon, with style and energy. It provides its fans with exactly what they desire. Whether it is exactly what they deserve is arguable.''

- I guess Ebert really doesnt like us then. I mean, it's arguable that we [the fans] deserve what we desire, a movie with style and energy??

What have we done for him to show such distain, I wonder?

Took away 2 hours and 23 minutes when he could have been drooling over Meryl Streep. :whatever:

He missed it at his local cinema as he was looking for Iron Man 3.
