Hey everyone. New account here... Lost my password to my original account, tried to reset it and got a virus (thanks superherohype). I'm excited to start posting again. And no, none of you knew me previously.

From what I saw in the leaked CC trailer I had always assumed
Peter was apologizing to Stark because he took it upon himself to "steal" the Iron-Spider suit and jump into the fray before he was ready after he saw Thanos (or his subordinates) coming to wreck NY.

Interesting, I didn't see the leaked CC trailer, but if that is what it showed then I guess that explains it.

Welcome to the hype! Sorry to hear about your previous problem. Hopefully everything is better now.

I think the reception to it also got affected by being grouped with TDW.

I think so, too, because I could swear when the movie was released, the fans loved it. But after TDW, you definitely saw a lot of retroactive revaluation and vitriol for the film from a lot of the fanbase. Its personally my favorite Thor movie, I enjoyed the Heck out of Ragnarok but it could've used more of Branaugh's sincere charm and heart IMO.

I prefer Ragnarok but I love the Asgard scenes from the first Thor. Just not too keen on the events on Earth.

My sentiments exactly. Those Asgard and Jotunheim scenes felt like something straight out of Journey into Mystery.

Yep, you’re making me want to rewatch those scenes right now. ;)

Oh and welcome (back) to the Hype!

Howdy. :D You wouldn't be the first person to get a virus from here. I've had my share.

Install Adblock Plus for your browser. It doesn't take longer than a minute. Once you do that, you'll be properly insulated against most popups/viruses on here.

I loved the 1st Thor too. Good humour, great heart and some of the best theme music used in a Marvel movie yet (by Patrick Doyle, played over the end credits with the swoop round the galaxy through Yggdrasil). They revisited that at the end of Ragnarok which was a nice touch.

Thanks for the welcome, y'all! The Hype is a great community.

The virus was actually from opening the reset password email, but thanks.

Back on that Helm's Deep / Gandalf moment being implemented in this movie: it'd be cool if they finally did something similar to that one scene from the Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon finale where Cap's getting his ass beat at Wakanda, then all of a sudden it starts getting stormy out and Cap smiles because he knows Thor is back.

reading that "leaked plot line" of avengers 3. I kind of buy it based off the Leaked pictures and both trailers.

Yes and Spider-Man asks why is he smiling only for Cap to say "Because I hear it....the thunder" followed by Thor flying in doing something extremely powerful.

Well I don't think Spider-man is going to be there for one, and I'd rather they do that in a more subtle way. Just a smile would say it all. Instead of them literally creating that scene exactly like it was. Or if one of the Black Order asked that instead.

:hmr::hmr::hmr: I geeked out at that part. Like I geeked out when Cap blocked Iron Man's repulsor blast, recreating the Civil War comic cover.

Haha yeah. I always really liked the back and forth Joss gave Thor and Cap during battles, even if they were little moments. I can totally see them doing something like what I said, followed by them joking/acknowledging how they both look different, and then just resuming wrecking s*** lol.

Oh yeah! One of my favourite parts of Age of Ultron. "Looks like they're lining up" "You had to ask". Hope to see more combos from them!

Adblock Plus was reported not that long ago for some sort of security flaw, can't remember what it was. If you use either Firefox or Chrome, uBlock Origin is better than Adblock Plus as it's less resource-intensive and is reported to be safer.

Also, anyone who uses Windows needs to upgrade to 10 and should also install Spybot Search & Destroy to activate its Immunization feature (which locks out a huge number of known malware hosts). Anyone who's not using Windows is reasonably safe from most malware. ;)

And anyone who uses Firefox in particular may want to consider installing NoScript, which can whitelist (or blacklist) JavaScript on a per-site basis.

Yes, I'm familiar with those software tools/extensions. Also, I installed uBlock a while back and didn't really notice a huge difference; so I just went back to using Adblock.

Thanks for the info!

We should be seeing combos and interactions all over the place in these 2 huge films.
