I doubt the success of the Captain Marvel movie. I like Carol as an Avenger but find her a fairly dull solo act. I liked her better as Ms. Marvel, and with long hair instead of short hair.

I don't see why. I mean, for one seeing General Ross back, pretty much confirms that they are willing to get back TIH actors.
And yes, TIH is canon to the MCU, even if there is a belief on some places on the Internet that it's not canon, but it totally is.

Disney's influence on these movies is clear, despite the evident creative freedom of Marvel Studios. Not that it is bad, just noticeable.

I know TIH is canon, I just always remained on the fence about whether they'd bring Tyler back or if they'd recast.

TIH would of course be canon since it's been referenced several times, I'm just glad to know they're sticking with most of the other players involved. Hopefully they figure out a way to get Roth back soon as well.

Ty Burrell as Doc Samson is one I'd call for a recast on, though.

Nobody else they replaced was a love interest to another character.

I always felt the main discourse was just with Edward Norton resulting in a recast of Banner. Everyone else is fair game and I'm sure are welcome back, they just were waiting for optimal times to bring them back such as William Hurt for Civil War. Though I'll agree about recasting Doc Samson, wouldn't mind seeing that at all.

@Krystal, It'd be a damn shame if she didn't interact with Banner in Infinity War.

Betty coming back won't be a problem. Marvel will just ignore the Brutasha stuff like it never happened. Natasha seems to have multiple personalities in these films anyways.

I would like to see Hank Pym be a science adviser to the Avengers. Hank and Tony were the original Avengers brain trust in the comics. I think they would have a interesting dynamic in the movies.

Yep. Norton was the only one that was recast due to his creative difference with Marvel. Everyone else from the Incredible Hulk has said they would be cool with returning.

I wouldn't mind Doc Sampson being recast as well.

That might be unintentionally good writing. Playing different roles to different people fits Natasha's character.

It would be great to see Liv Tyler back. Is William Hurt coming back? We need to see those two in a scene with Mark Ruffalo. It should be amiss to not have those three acting opposite each other.

In fact, Marvel should go back and redo TIH, insert Mark Ruffalo into it, and putting the new Avengers Hulk model in place of the Norton one.

Yes they do. Fitz and Simmons need to be in the MCU films.
