Oh well. It was being reported by a MCU page on Facebook. It is saying they are looking at Edgar Wright, Andrew Adamson, David Yates, Matt Reeves, Duncan Jones, Joss Whedon, Rupert Sanders and Neil Burger.

If it were to be true though, I'm intrigued by Matt Reeves and David Yates.

Hmmm...some interesting picks here. I don't see Whedon or Wright doing it. Whedon will be busy on Avengers for a while. But...some of the other names are intriguing. Not big on Yates. Trendy due to Potter, but I'd like more originality.

Yates is up to his chin in offers from WB, so I doubt he'll tag onto a sequel when he can start his own thing. You never know though. I'd be cool with Reeves or Jones, well, more ecstatic than cool. I was hoping Burger would re-team with Bradley Cooper for The Flash. But as long as it's good I'm down with anybody.

I back Duncan Jones on that list. David Yates would make a decent movie, but I don't think he is the best choice.

Now I can see Duncan Jones helming Thor 2. He would be awesome. Visually, it would be great just as Thor was.

Moon and Source Code are great films...but they boggle the mind. Could Jones do something different and refreshing with a blockbuster like Thor?

Because of the budget for this movie and all the cast and characters we already have, I cant see many supporting cast members appear. We so far have Gwyneth as Pepper Potts returning, and really we dont need to see anyone else. General Ross would be ideal but we dont have to see him and with the news that Thor will be in Asgard until the middle of the film it would seem likely that Odin, Frigga, Sif, Heimdall and the Warriors Three would probably be in it or some of them.

i still find it imperative to include incredible hulk cast members.. to help with the transition. they'd probably be the cheapest to get too..

Be that as it may, I honestly wonder on how they're going to avoid supposedly showing anyone else from Thor's own gallery of characters since unless they just have him appear in a flash of light due to whatever has yet to be revealed; then they'll have to go with their other option of having to show Asgard and it would make sense for someone from his inner circle that we saw in Thor to be next to him before he left there on his own will.

Personally, I think the potential problems of bringing in other major characters from any of the Avengers own films, is that not only may it take up unnecessary time, but it may also put more focus on the Avenger that the guest character is associated with as well, and we certainly don't want any one avenger to get the most spotlight (I think.lol)

Though people that I wouldn't expect to be in this film, by either confirmation that they won't be or by story reasons:

1. Doc Samson (He was technically still Betty's current boyfriend and didn't have any real important role in TIH)

2. Rhodey (Don Cheadle Confirmed that)

3. Peggy Carter (Most likely Dead, though they could use a scene from CA as a past flashback that Steve thinks about)

4. Betty Ross (I would have thought that we'd hear by now if someone like Liv Tyler was set to cameo in this film)

5. Jane Foster (As much as I'd like to see Nat in this film, until said otherwise, she is not confirmed to be in this film)

lol we've barely heard any cast announcements for this film other than the major players.. and the reason i say samson, is because I would think they'd need to bring on a psychologist to help banner. also.. none of these supporting cast should be major players in the movie.. they should be nothing but cameos for the most part
