does anyone have any idea as to why they want to ask Ross to release Blonsky in the first place? from what i'm getting they are asking him to release Blonsky but they want him to say no, so why ask in the first place?

A SHIELD Helicarrier that is so big that it has to be included in another movie? That sounds incredible! They really are going for broke on this and I think it's going to blow people away.

Maybe they want him to come up with an alternative (that they wanted in the first place) that only he has the authority to do and feel like it was his idea, so that they don't face resistance from him? It could have something to do with wanting access to Banner intel or something.

Sounds like Fury wants to question ("debrief") Blonksy under Shield custody. Coulson doesn't want that so they send Stark to mess up the deal.

Best guess, as I figure there's more to that clip, is that neither agent wants the risky task of transporting Blonksy anywhere, so they sabotage it.

Is Blonsky stuck as the Abomination? Or has he reverted back to human?

I could see Iron Fist and Doc Strange in 2014.

Well it's being rumored Strange could be set for a 2013 release. If true, then I'd say winter is the best bet. Iron Fist though, I definitely think 2014 too.

The Hellicarrier being that big and expensive sounds so cool. Just hope it's not bad money. Sounds like they're just going all out, though.

makes sense whenever shield shows up in other movies just have the heli-carrier fly over head first, then someone says "SHIELD!"

my bro has said on many an occasion that he thinks they should merge Cap 2 with a Shield movie. He even came up with a name 'Captain America : Agent of SHEILD' (Though i confess, i'm not keen on it)

That sounds very bad, and reminiscent of the David Hasselhoff movie: Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD.

On the subject of Luke Cage & Iron Fist movies, I think the two should have one solo movie each & then they join forces for a Heroes for Hire series. I think Cage can support atleast one movie, he can fight the Purple Man.

That Consultant short was awesome

It shows me that maybe guys like General Ross may return!!!!

I would like to see Michael Jai White play Luke Cage!!!

Doesn't Nick Fury have a higher rank than General Ross? So why would he need his permission to begin with?

If that's the case, and it seems to be, it's an awesome idea. I like the way it rounds out Coulson and Sitwell.

Its not all one direct chain of command. There are overlapping authorities when multiple agencies are involved. Fury has a lot of power, but he may not be able to just boss Generals around. He still has to go through channels.

Ah, I see. It makes sense when you put it that way.

I'm curious to find out as to why Coulson doesn't want Blonsky to come under SHIELD. It'd be great to see if Coulson is also the one that recommends choosing Banner instead.

I was under the impression that Fury wants Blonsky for the Avengers Initiative. Son of Coul knows this is a bad idea but has to do as ordered. So he improvises.

I would say you're about spot on.

CBM are reporting a rumour that the Helicarrier set is
so expensive they're having to put it in other movies to make the costs work

Be interesting if it is true... and makes me wanna see MUCH more of it than we've seen so far.....

If CBM is reporting it, there's a 98% chance it's pure B.S.

Or Ross could be a *****ebag.

It's not like they haven't reported true things before.

Also, I find the rule against posting links to there asinine and stupid, especially since I found proof that there's no reason it should be enforced.

I got this impression too. I like the idea also because it suggests that there's more to his character than a simple Shield agent and in a way makes him more important to the MCU.

Heck, I wouldn't mind if they had it where Coulson is portrayed as the "conscious" of SHIELD; whereas Nick Fury and Maria hill are portrayed in being between the lines of "strictly by the book" or "morally gray" area, Coulson is the one who tries to play things based on better ethics.
