There's both "Thors" on set right there; perhaps he conjures the armor and cape after being cornered and Thor and CA escape.

Someone mentioned this earlier, but think about this. You know how in CA:TFA they took some members' names from the Invaders, and mixed them with the Howling Commandos; with that actually being their name. Same will likely be done for The Avengers' villains. Any alien-villains' background can be altered as an "Inhuman" simply for the movie. This is why I was telling Alexei not to get so excited by a name.

umm they only did that with 1 person... Union Jack

and man o man would that suck... ugh.. could you seriously imagine a skrull, captain marvel, lillandra, annihilus, etc.. all being labeled as part of the "inhumans"

I'm sure that Chris E and Chris H both appreciate not having to be thrown out second-story windows and whatnot.

So then this entire list of Inhumans from Wiki, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Inhumans , would be completely invalid in your opinion? Because there are a whole hell of a lot more than 9 on that list.

Anybody who reads Marvel Comics at all knows there are only 8 Inhumans that have ever meant a thing to the Marvel Universe: Black Bolt, Triton, Karnak, Gorgon, Crystal, Medusa, Lockjaw, and the exiled baddie Maximus the Mad.

If these guys in mocap suits are somehow supposed to represent The Inhumans, somebody please tell me this:

*which ones of those stuntMEN are supposed to be Medusa and Crystal? And Lockjaw?

*why THE hell would Inhumans need staves, alien guns, or flying chariots? As superheroes, their powers are within themselves --- they don't need useless tools.

*and why THE hell would you need to mocap/ CGI THE INHUMANS, for Crom's sake....? It's four guys, two girls and a dog. Lockjaw is the ONLY Inhuman that would require CGI.

If you want to start looking for Inhumans in this movie, you're far better served in checking the cast list for prominent new members. Including four guys. Two girls. And a dog.

Oh yeah, you're right, thanks.:cwink:

Thor & Cap (back to back) taking on alien invaders.... :awesome:

The question is not what the Inhumans mean to you, it's what they mean to Marvel; if Marvel has been using them as not only a "team" name but also as a class of species, then that means anything can be defined as an Inhuman.

Go read Marvel Freshman's new post and then get back to me.

no, the inhuman species is specifically them only.. they're kree experiments who get their power from "mists" emitted from sacred rocks.

there's been no comic featuring any inhumans that arn't the royal family... they have their own comics with the "inhuman label" because it's essentially there "team" name. thus also why realistically, no other inhumans really matter in the marvel universe bedsides the royals. (unlike with mutants where several mutants have had solo comics away from the x-men)

Looks like they "found him to be strange" to have him in his cape and whatnot in the middle of NYC.
Rock, in case you hadn't heard from all the commotion over the last few pages, according to a certain poster here in the hype with insider knowledge, THE INHUMANS will be the villains. I'm diggin' that.

I'm talking about the characters that are listed as Inhumans on that wiki list; by cherokeesam's standard, only the main royal family can be considered Inhumans even though you yourself admit that there are more than just them as a total list of Inhuman "characters."

This is all becoming too circular; it can be a case of Marvel using Inhumans as a general classifier which means that it does not have to adhere to the specific standard of only 7 characters who can be considered Inhumans.

Or, more specifically to what Marvel Freshman actually seems to have said, a group of aliens called Inhumans, but not the actual Inhumans we all know from the comics.

I wonder if the shots of them without Thor in his cape was just a test run-through of the scene

Do the Inhumans have an army? We know that extras have been told that a giant spaceship is overhead. Does that fit the Inhumans?

Would also like to mention there are like 8 mocap guys in those pics.

Was just referring to him not being in full scale armor and whatnot. I was quoting Thor when he was talking to Jane in his movie on the way to the SHIELD compound.

EDIT: Nevermind. Just couldn't see it because of how far out the pic was.

Wait .... but according to some, Marvel never "butchers" any of the concepts/characters.
