Maybe the Skrull saw Thor when the Thunder God was in civvies and copied his look then.

In the video of Cap being knocked out of the 3rd floor of a building, the helmet wasn't on in that scene. So I would think it gets removed sometime during the epic fight that's going on.

Can't look it up right now, but for all you die-hards out there, do all Skrulls shape-shift?

Nearly all of them do but I remember one who couldn't and he was some high leader in the military and he said he had to be the best at what he does due to his shame of not being able to change form, a genetic condition that a very small minorty of the skrull race sufer from. I believe it was in the Xmen a few years back when some young skrulls fled to earth for Prof X's help cause they were mutants in the skrull race and the Skrull GOV ordered that any Skrull that had this mutant gene was to be exterminated cause they were a threat to the natural order of the Skrulls or some nonsense. Which is silly sense the Skrulls have done genetic enhancements to give some of their soldiers super abilities. I also believe them mutant skrulls couldn't shape shift but just had their mutant power.

Maybe Cap does a shield throw in the fight and some editing and FX need to be done which is why it looks like Evans just dropped it. It looks like he winds up a little bit before he drops it.

The Cap/Thor battle scene is going to look so awesome when it's edited and the CGI bad guys are added. I wonder whether it takes place after Cap took all those beatings, or before. After seems likeliest because he's lost his helmet by this point.

Unlike Maguire-Spidey, I think Evans-Cap looks better without his mask/helmet. Partially due to me not being a big fan of the look of Cap's helmet at the moment & partially due to Evans looking great as Steve Rogers.

Thor's helmet is ceremonial in the MCU. I think people just need to accept it.
