on the front page here?

The 41 min 57 sec version of the avengers panel was posted on YouTube by seanxlong. I tried to link it but no Internet and I can't get my phone to copy the link.

It's a shared universe and it's going to stay that way. I'm very happy with that because it would be ridiculous to set aside the characters' shared history and treat them as if they were isolated from here on out. The uniqueness of the MCU concept and its similarity to the comic book universe are the major attractions for me. Hopefully all of the movies will continue to be interconnected and flow into each other, just as stories in the comics always have.

JAK, I love Renner. I love Renner as Hawkeye. But he really took me outta the moment. I wanted my attention directed at Thor's emotional breakdown, not at Renner's awesomeness. Hell, I couldn't wait to see him once I heard he was in Thor. But to put him in that scene? No cigar.
Maybe that's the problem. He was supposed to be a cameo, a little tease for people who knew him. For regular cinemagoers the scene probably flowed without major issues.

Marvin's on point with the MCU films consistently having weak 2nd & 3rd acts. While Iron Man had a lackluster 3rd act, it closed on a fantastic note. Cap had a strong first act, but once Steve became Cap, all we were left with was an Avengers prequel.

I had a long argument typed out, but it's just not worth it. You're obviously trolling with such an overtly untrue statement.

Suffice to say that once again your opinion is in the minority.

+ 1..with the exception of the first and last 2 minutes of the movie, which were kinda necessary as they explain how Rogers makes his way into this decade,...there was almost nothing Avengers related throughout the Cap movie

Yeah. Although, if there wasn't an Avengers movie, I think subsquent sequels of Cap in the past, during war, would've been awesome. They played the unfrozen card too fast, but with a goal, so it's all good.

I had a long argument ready to retort this but it's not really worth it I think. You're obviously trolling with such a thought out response.

Come on, someone states their opinion/critique and it goes beyond a simple marvel sucks cause they just do. And the response you conceive is a simple I had a response but you're a troll. That's the breaks I guess.

Let me also guess, you also think I'm in the minority when I suggest that marvel's third acts consistently leave a lot to be desired.

More of cap and his commandos vs the man out of time?
Marvel does seem to want to get things moving rather quickly. Similar to how they ended IronMan with Tony's announcement.

I agree, it would have been awesome to see more retro cap, but that would have meant delaying the Avengers movie another couple of years at least.

Hi, nice to meet you. We haven't interacted on these boards before, but I've certainly seen my fair share of AB, and what you've stepped in the middle of is another in the endless cycle of posts from him regarding his negative views of the MCU. Personally, I don't care if someone dislikes a movie I like. Views are subjective. But rather than just state an opinion and move on, he consistently recycles the same negative posts, treats his opinion as fact, and cries foul when people rebuke him. We see this cycle again and again and again. You may be new it, but the rest of us aren't, so it's more than a little irritating to see it again.

I can't say whether or not you're in the minority regarding your opinion of Marvel's third acts. I'd be guessing if I gave you an answer. However, AB loves to point out how Marvel has only made one good film, and for THAT I can most definitely say that his opinion is in the minority.

I see
who is "AB"
Nevermind, I just figured out. I also noticed your fancy retort wasn't even directed at me. My browsers on the fritz. Still had to be said though.

Marvin, I applaud you. You've pretty much nailed kingmatte's [annoying] agenda here in the forums. If you have anything negative to say about the MCU he will come down on you with lightning & thunder & brand you a "troll". If you put him in a corner during a debate he'll resort to flaming & sarcasm before exiting said debate with "you're a troll." Posters like kingmatte really defeat the purpose of online discussion where one comes to discuss & not worship the subject(s) at hand.

See, that's just not true. Remember Merc? He and I used to argue about Cap's costume all the time (among other aspects of the MCU). I loved it. We even came to a consensus over a compromise of opinions.

The difference with other people I disagree with and you is that you don't allow for the possibility that you can be wrong.

kingmatte, the moment you publicly flamed me here on the hype, I lost all hope in your ability to be reasonable & objective during a discussion. You can say all the negative things you want about the things I love. I'll never get offended. You on the other hand just can't stand the thought of someone pointing out flaws in these films you love. I remember the first comment you directed at me here was a cheap shot in support of one of Wolvieboy's comments. You guys act like you're on some crusade to shut me up or invalidate my opinions. Broski, I don't lose sleep over these things. I don't need to flame people over a message board because they think Thor & Cap are bad movies. I can't even fathom the thought of doing that to someone in person. You know how ridiculous that would be? Well its just as ridiculous here on these boards & you & your buds do it to me all the time.

Is AB still posting (the same post countless times) here?

Odinson, are you still agreeing with everything the ill-mannered posters here write?

I just want to see that Hulk stuff now. I don't even care about being spoilt lol.

Has anyone got a transcipt of the footage shown at NYCC?
