Yeah, count me in with those who absolutely loved Cap's score. It's the only CBM soundtrack I bought this year. Now I'm wondering how Silvestri will approach The Avengers.

I think the last of Silvestri's scores that I actually noticed in a movie was and was impressed by was Cast Away eleven years ago. And obviously that sort of thing wouldn't work in The Avengers.

Silvestri's Cap score is probably my favourite Marvel movie score. I just hope he creates a truly iconic score for the Avengers. Something on the same level as Burton's Batman or Williams Superman. Because in all honesty I don't think any superhero movie has had a score like those since. You could maybe throw Zimmer's Joker theme or Burton's Spider-Man in there.

I thought CA score was okay not as great as some people said I prefered XFC score over Caps but I have liked Silvestri's other work so i am not to mad about him being chosen for Scoring Avengers Just want some Epicness that's it

Wait...is Silvestri the ONLY composer for Avengers or is he just responsible for Cap?
I had hoped for someone completely different, the Cap score was not his best work IMO.

To each his own, I suppose. For example, I consider Ramin Djawadi's Iron Man score the best in the line of Marvel Studios ones and many will disagree with me on that, but that's okay. That's why we're discussing stuff and share our opinions in the first place)

I think, that Silvestri will do a good job, given the proper amount of time (which he obviously has). I just want to hear a mix of different themes (Cap, Thor & IM) in one song. I'm sure there are no copyright problems with Doyle, Djawadi and Debney (although, I'm not a fan of his IM2 score).

We should expect an Avengers theme though that will stand out above the individual themes, though.

The team theme has to be memorable and epic to the point where it is king of the hill over the other movie themes, otherwise it will seem weird. Like puzzle pieces coming together to form something big. The score for the team itself has to be something out of this world.
