C'mon Marvel .... give us a new trailer already, we've been waiting long enough.

Dang that's creepy lol. I'll have to read or watch some stuff with Ultron, he seems interesting. But I still don't think that he would be a suitable villain for Avengers 2, I'd rather go with Kang as Ultron seems like a downplay from Loki, aliens and potentially Thanos. Although I'll remain judgement

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I remember Paul Bettany saying he's recorded some Avengers stuff and that he has no idea what happens in the rest of the movie, he just did his lines :P

Which reminds me, Jarvis is in this right? Has paul bettany been confirmed? It might be weird seeing tony and not hearing that voice is all.

Yeah, it's been confirmed by himself he's returning!

I'm interested to know what you think makes Wasp a more interesting character than Hank. To me she's one of the more redundant members of the core group of avengers

I think her personality goes a long way. I like having someone on the team who really wants to be there, as opposed to the more whiny Hank. EMH Janet is probably my favorite character on the show.

I agree 100%, she's adds a ton to the EMH show. It's the first time I've ever cared for the character.

The big problem here is you'll be confusing people. X-Men is obviously owned by a different movie company and Adamantium was introduced in their movies, so that's out of the question.

To be honest, I'm not sure that makes that much difference.

I'm not trying to say that the general moviegoing public is stupid, or don't care. It's unwise to make blanket statements.

But it's actually very hard to tell how people not already familiar with comics are processing all the different heroes. Far from it being clear that they regard the movies by different studios as representing completely separate heroic "worlds"... I was sitting at a showing of "Thor", and a middle-aged guy behind me was talking about, "And isn't Green Lantern also going to be in The Avengers?" (Fortunately the person he was with corrected him before I had to. :o )

So, sure -- I wouldn't assume that the G.A. knows that the X-Men and the Avengers are from the same "world". But I wouldn't assume they care that much, either.

Use "adamantium" in The Avengers, and comics geeks will know that they're connected, and I honestly think either the G.A. won't care, or might at this point even say, "huh, maybe that means this is connected with X-Men".

Count me as one of the more knowledgeable members of the GA, who didn't know that X-men and the Avengers were in different studios until just recently. (And I'm pretty shaky on DC vs Marvel properties in general)

I love comic book movies, but have tried and failed to get into comic books (it's the medium--Im not good with graphic arts as a narrative device *shrug*). The whole vibranium/adamantium/which studio owns what debate is completely below the radar for me, and, most likely, the rest of the GA.

Marvel has done a good job of keeping things accessible for non-comic book readers without pissing off too many comic book fans, so I'll bet they find a way. I'm guessing they'll just call everything 'vibranium' in the movies that would've been adamantium in the comics.

That's good to hear quara33, I've often wondered how these movies translate to someone who isn't familiar with the source material. From the sounds of it they translate pretty well.

I'm not sure how anyone can copyright 'Adamantium'. The word is derived from 'Adamantine', the unbreakable metal Hephaestus used to make the chains that held Prometheus.

And with Fox deciding to make it a metal found in a meteorite Marvel could use the original source for it's origins as well (discovered in an attempt to recreate Cap's shield). Given that the metals existence in Marvel predates Wolverine by a decade or so I don't see how Marvel couldn't use it.

well the thing is that Cap's shield is currently made out of Vibranium alloy. If his shield became destroyed or lost in Avengers or in Cap 2 then maybe Tony working with someone else could come up with the new alloy that makes up Cap's shield in the comics.

Marvel_Freshman just told me on Twitter he heard that we're getting the new trailer THIS FRIDAY - JANUARY 6. I'm not sore if he meant the online release or when theatres are getting prints for it (RIM said earlier Russian theatres are getting the trailer this week)

When is the Avengers Lego coming out?

There'd be no point in a theatrical release - January's a graveyeard month for the cinema. Doubt the rumour is true anyway.

IMO it would make sense to release in online on the 6th - 1st trailer October, 2nd trailer January, Final trailer March.

I don't think there will be a 3rd theatrical trailer for the Avengers. Rather, there will just be plenty of TV spots starting with the one released in the February Superbowl. If they do opt to release a third one, I know I wouldn't be watching it, after this second one I would of seen enough already especially if rumors are true that it will last over 3 minutes. How do you even top that? lol.

if the trailer is releasing in Russia this week...then we should know about it by wed, since the movies come out on thursday in Russia....

I hope so because there is not really a movie to attach it to if it comes out this week (which I hope it does). So it should only be online which also means basically everyone can see it, I hope.

I'm getting a weird feeling this movie will be here in no time.
January
February
March(decent movies begin to roll in)
April(better movies)
BOOM...May

And I start college in 2 weeks, ends first week of May. Makes time fly faster.

Here's hoping it goes by fast.

Four months, and for US, an additional four days:yay:

Anyhow, here's a recent interview with Ruffalo:

"I don't think Bruce Banner's any longer trying to run from the inevitable, which is his voice, and that's a kind of maturation that all of us go through," Mr. Ruffalo says. "At this point, I think he's ready to turn and face this beast that he's partially created and try to integrate it into his life and use it for the good that he intended it to be used for."

"There's a lot of world-weary charm in the character," Mr. Ruffalo says, "a lot of sense of humor about himself and where he finds himself. He has this maturation that I think makes him ready to accept whatever his fate may be."

Man I am seriously feening for new information, new trailer ..... just something legitimately new to talk about when it comes to this film. I was doing alright just casually checking up on this forum a couple times a week for the last few months, but man I feel like some kind of drug addict at the moment, needing an Avengers fix.
