That's an awesome Hulk drawing.

I remember people complaining about changing the design. IMO what they did here is perfect. The changes are so subtle that, while he looks a lot better, he still looks familiar.

Totally agree. The design looks great but it isn't such a departure from TIH that it would make you think TIH is out of continuity. It took all of the positives of the TIH design and improved upon them and phased out some of the less desireable ones.

His face looks a bit different though then the original gampa Hulk they gave us for the first promo poster

It's evolved into this.... and it is awsome at this point... really does look like Ruffalows face

The Hulk's color in the trailer is much better than in either of his solo films. In Hulk he was the color of Gumby. In TIH, he looked a little too green, if that makes sense. Neither one of those Hulks looked realistic, in part due to the skin color and texture. The new render looks as if it might be just right.

Why is it so much easier to get every other CGI creation to look great, but Hulk always comes off looking fake and cartoonish? Even CGI humanoids look better. Gollum, the Avatar aliens and the monkeys in Planet of the Apes all looked fine. Is it that they're trying too hard with Hulk, or they simply don't have the skills to pull it off?

That "leaked" email might have some truth to it, but it seems like an awfully crowded film.

I wouldn't worry about the easter egg appearance of the Infinity Gauntlet in Thor (was it even really visible in the theatrical cut?) being something they'd have to hold to in future movies. No one even really noticed it. If it was even there, it was a blink-and-miss-it item, so it wouldn't really ruin any continuity to have it appear in Avengers or beyond. Or they could have Loki steal it from the Asgardian vault.

Having Loki meet Red Skull would be an epic scene and a great way to open the film. However, I'm not sure why Loki would feel a need to split the gems with RS.

I wonder if Phase 2 of the Marvel films involves the Avengers going on a recruiting drive. Let's say that Loki's army does turn against him. Let's say that Thanos had at least a cameo in Avengers and might have provided an army for Loki to use. If Thanos realizes he was duped, he'll want revenge. The threat of Thanos (someone that frightens even Loki) potentially returning to Earth might make SHIELD need to keep recruiting more Avengers in preparation of Thanos' arrival. If a recruiting drive is coming (Feige said the Avengers line-up would change/grow), IM3 might have more SHIELD scenes in it setting up future Avengers.

I'd personally prefer him to have the longer shaggier Sal Buscema style hair, but I have no complaints with the new look. On the face they have gone for the higher nose and it looks like they have gone for a much better skin texture this time round (Less 'waxy' and striated than TIH and more muscle definition than 03 Hulk).

That Hulk looks awesome. Seems more similar to Ang Lee's Hulk to me, except the colour.

They were all done by Weta, which is who I believe Marvel is using for this Hulk.

Weta working with ILM?

Is that a first?

Don't know if I'm crazy and I'm the only one, but on that short live action Hulk footage, I can actually see a little bit of Ruffalo. I know he did motion-capture, but his face and expression.. there's something in there, I can see it.

Didn't ILM do some work on the LOTR trilogy as well? Or was that all WETA?

Afaik Weta did all of LOTR (they were founded by Jackson because ILM was too busy doing the Star Wars prequels iirc).

Could be wrong though, been a good while since I read anything about it.

Like I said Avatar. Both ILM and WETA worked on that along with a bunch of other great VFX companies.

So no it isn't their first time working on the same project.

I think Hulk's proportions, build, and CGI in this film are much better than they were in both of the previous films but I still like TIH's face and hair more than this Hulk's.

Now regarding the "We have a Hulk" line, I will admit as a Thor fan I initially had a few problems with it.

I don't really have a problem anymore since it works in the context of the film considering Loki's dealt with Thor before but he's never dealt with Hulk.

Was there any proof in WETA working on this?

I just remember it posted at CBM with no source attached.

Ever since my buddy got the scoop on CBM, The Avengers' IMDB profile has been updating with WETA visual effects workers.

The Russian trailer released today. Should be able to find it on YT now.

All I could think of watching this was Mickey Rourke and his ridiculous delivery of the line "I want my bird."

its wrong we have to watch the russian dub for widow to actually have her accent

This Hulk is not as nice as the Comic Con one, I hope they have not down graded that Incredible version for this [but it is better than the last two Hulk movies].

I don't like how his head is so small compared to the rest of his body. Same issue I had with Norton's Hulk.

That's the way all body builders and obese people look, small head big body. There's no way around it.
