I'm pretty sure RT critics upload their own reviews when they write them and decide on whether it's positive or negative. Because I remember guy posting a placeholder on RT after Dark Knight that was negative, just to screw with people while he wrote his positive review.

Perhaps my definition of "War" is off or not as accurate as some.lol, but does Loki's army invading just NYC really warrant Fury to say that "War has started" or for Whedon to use that as a basis for calling his film a "war" film?

Common sense says I've never seen a coincidence so strong

I'm sure you have, because this isn't really that big of a coincidence. It's only because Cap has such a huge viral fanbase that this has come up. If John Carter (or any other film with the same neg/pos circumstance) had the same rabid group of people looking for RT news they would have thought the same thing since the positive RT reviews started rolling in days after all the negative ones.

Time Warner is a $60 billion corporation. It's really, really hard to believe they'd condone something silly like that for a company that doesn't even bring them 1% of their revenue.

Yep. It's not up to the site when the reviews go live, it's up the the individual reviewers and their outlets.

It's the beginnings of war IMO, the first battle in Loki's overall plan to conquer the planet, so yes War has started.

"War" doesn't always mean global. It's a battle between two societies.

There's still hope. We've had movies with weak openings that later do well due to positive word of mouth. Blade and the first Matrix come to mind. John Cater deserves a sequel. Its a great movie.

John Carter seems like one of those movie that they will play over and over again on TNT then will end up becoming a classic like the Arnold Schwarzenegger's Conan movies.

The think i loved about the move was that the CGI was so well done that you never question wither something was CG or not. It all blended perfectly. I hope the Hulk and the Aliens from the Avengers will have the same quality.

First post! Been reading this forum for a while now and decided to join but mostly to solve a question that was brought up a while back.

During the Super Bowl trailer, there was a scene with Cap protecting black widow from a fire explosion. Some said it was the serpent thing, others said it was just an explosion. Well I got lucky with a scree grab and this is what I found.

We know have confirmation that it is the serpent.

We've seen it. It made those of us that where making fun of those people that said that Leviathan was in that explosion look like asses.

I see an explosion somewhere in that leviathan.

sorry if this been posted before, I watched JC yesterday (great movie) and they showed the 3D Avengers trailer, it was pretty much the same but with 3 "new" scenes compared to online version:

- right after Tony scene saying he's not a team player, Steve starts fighting with him about the IM suit, which Tony replies with something like "that's funny coming from the guy with the sparkling suit!" pointing at the star in his chest, then Thor and Widow nod along
- instead of the awesome pic of Thor, IM and Cap, they show Loki walking in slow motion, probably when he arrives in Germany
- the last scene was replaced showing Tony picking at Bruce with some sort of electric pencil, he shocks Bruce and Cap says "hey! leave him alone!" Bruce just doesnt answer and Tony says "you really manage to control him, dont you?" something like that.

the 3D in the trailer was great!

Seems like you saw the international version of the trailer. Scenes match up. Didn't know they were playing that in the US. Was it in IMAX?

No. Black Widow is a central character from the beginning, and even gets some backstory.

Hawkeye [BLACKOUT]is mind-controlled by Loki until halfway during the movie, at which point he goes to fight.[/BLACKOUT]

So in other words Hawkeye gets shafted?

So Loki goes toe to toe with every avenger. so which fight is everyone most looking forward to seeing?

For me it's definately Thor vs Loki again, as I think that'll be the most emotional battle, and then Cap vs Loki. I'm excited at the thought that each one of them will try taking him down individually only to realise that he can't be beaten that way.

I want to see Thor vs Loki, where Thor doesn't completely own Loki in 2 seconds.
