Well of course. I don't actually want to see innocent civilians shot to pieces. But you know, think of ID-4, when the whole of New York gets blown up. It's pretty clear thousands of people died whilst not explicitly showing people running around engulfed in flames.

Yep, and similar scenes were shown in every Marvel Studios movie to date. The thing is, we're too busy watching Hulk vs Abomination/Iron Man vs WM/etc to notice people around them looking banged up or seeing the buildings destroyed. But they are there, watch the films again and you'll notice.

I just realized something:

Remember Thor's IMAX Poster? It was released at the end of March, so we should get another new poster in the coming weeks. :awesome:

yeah both IM and Hulk are missing too....maybe the last posters will sport them all

There is an Iron Man poster with Hulk in the background as well as a Hawkeye and Hulk poster.

We just got six posters and a banner yesterday. I think that's it for the month but, hey, the more the merrier

Iron Man didn't do a good job of that in IM2 really. He should have flown up in the air, instead of around buildings and parking lots. The scene i described before, when they fly past that penthouse where there was a party or whatever it was, War Machine firing his mini gun. Why did Stark fly right up to the window? The people in that room would have been mincemeat.

My view of it is, i don't want Loki and his army just destroying buildings. That's lame and it neuters the threat. We need to see lives lost, whether it's civilians or military.

well that also sort of served a point to the story too though, Tony is reckless.

I almost walked out the theater during the Last battle in Transformers... When Optimus flew into the power lines or whatever they were like a fly in sticky paper I really did scream in the movie theater " really that's what you gonna do... Get all f***ing tangled up at a time like this.... Goofy bastard" (sorry even at my age ... I'm still a brotha that doesn't know how to act in a movie theater)... Man that scene killed me... Transformers 2/3 was all flash and no substance... I'm not watching another Bay movie unless Will and Martin is staring in it..... Yea I said it

Is Avengers going to go up on Imax/Imax digital screens??

Hahahahaha Will and Martin, I thought both Bad Boys & Bad Boys II were pretty awesome.

I don't see how a mostly CG scene could be a mistake by the filmmakers when they had to craft every aspect of it. If it were straight forward filming and they didn't notice people in the shot, that's a mistake. That IM2 scene was purposeful to show a bustling city.

And, I'm sorry, but no it wouldn't have been his fault just like all the deaths that were obviously caused by errant gun fire throughout that entire scene. Don't forget the amount of high velocity metal that was being sent his way and didn't hit anything in frame. Those bullets, in the cinematic sense, impacted against buidlings/cars/people/gophers eventually. That's not his fault either.

spider-man has dealt with that very issue in the comics. Heroes are still blamed for the villains actions, because the villain is after them. If they didn't exist... maybe that fight wouldn't of happend, and maybe that person would still be alive. Trivial or not.. in the comic book world, it's still considered collateral damage.

The Avengers, Batman, Superman, X-Men and everyone else has dealt with it in comic book form. We're talking about the films here, tough, and what has been shown as opposed what what is lacking. Anything goes in print, but in a film there has to be a level of finesse.

Coulson is a Kree?! I thought he was a Skrull.

I don't know how/why he'd be a Skrull since the Kree are who help Earth out. Plus, Marvel already gave Coulson all this heroic comic book tie-in backstory, so making him nothing more than a sleeper agent would be a bad decision IMO.

and there will be .. if elements of Civil War are ever put into film. Like i said before. It should only be dealt with if the story allows for it. There's been a lot of civilian deaths... there's no reason to showcase one in a film unless it's actually going to be touched upon.

lets also not forget this is the "dawn of heroes" in the MCU. Many of these events have been isolated (possibly even "hushed" by SHIELD), if they want a realistic take on these heroes... they're going to eventually touch upon what the public thinks about them. And most likely eventually touch upon hero registration.

Guys, guys, what if...

Hear me out, here!

It might sound crazy, but hear me out!

What if...

I said, what if...

Coulson is just Coulson, SHIELD agent and pretty cool guy?

Groundbreaking stuff, huh?

Have you guys seen the new Battleship trailer?

The film might not be good but it does have a very impressive scale and the stakes seem very high.

Here it is - http://youtu.be/u7N-33PbR-g

Edit: Lol I mean "Battleship"

Well now that's just silly. Besides, Clark Gregg told us himself, Coulson is a Romulan Princess! :oldrazz:
