It's bad. I don't know what's going on with those shots.

Possibly just a case of the normal trailer issue. It's usually cut up footage, or even footage that didn't even make it into the film.

It's kind of strange, but in a great way of course that we're seeing all of our beloved character utilize their skills at their best in this film when one would figure that we would have seen them do things like this on their own in their solo films.lol

Well to be honest they didn't face a threat this size in their solo films, so it would make since that each characters "ups the ante" in terms of ability usage.

I certainly am a huge Thor fan but I think Vartha's got me beat on all things Thor related, I just happen to be more "outspoken".

Speaking of which, after hearing that Whedon had originally wanted to include another villain into the mix, if he had gotten his way, do you think that it would have gone along well with the film?

Or do you think that it looks fine as it is with Loki being the only real main villain (with him just being backed up a huge and so far, nameless army)

Speaking of which, after hearing that Whedon had originally wanted to include another villain into the mix, if he had gotten his way, do you think that it would have gone along well with the film?

Or do you think that it looks fine as it is with Loki being the only real main villain (with him just being backed up a huge and so far, nameless army)

Since there's so much to deal with only in the assemblage of the Avengers, as the heroes are so different, I think one villain is enough. Loki also has plenty of personality so he should be able to fill his role more than well.

In a second Avengers film there might be more need to fill out the story with more bad guys though.

Ultron sounds incredible but still I hope hope and hope again that Thanos will be a part of this majestic movieverse that marvel is creating.
In fact everynight before I sleep I pray to god, it goes something like this:

*kneel before bed, hands clinched togheter*

Dear Odin allfather and ruler of all..
If you grant me this wish, your enemies are going to fall..
Give me Thanos or by all of my strenght
I´m going to marvel to chop off somebodies head.

Good point. Although I think I'd always prefer it if there was at least one charismatic villain, played by a good actor.

It's a shame that Dr. Doom is lost to the "real" Marvel films, even though he's of course not exactly #1 on the Avengers villains list. Just one of my all-time favorites.

I'm okay with just Loki as the main villain, due to the fact that more focus and screentime must be given to the Avengers because they have a pretty big roster. Adding another villain would've taken time away from Loki and diluted his character, so I think it was a smart decision to keep Loki and his army as the main baddies in the movie.
