The one good thing about watching all the trailers is that Cap's outfit is finally starting to grow on me. It was really my only semi-quibble early on, partly because i was so happy with his duds from The First Avengers, and partly because I assumed that certain superheroes' outfits needed to be toned down to be plausible in a real world setting. But Mr. Whedon seems to have demolished that notion with the attitude that modern comic books don't need to be toned down or "Nolanized" for lack of a better term (huge fan of TDK btw). After decades of comic books and quality animation and video games and tv shows, the under-50 movie-going public is ready for this kind of movie.
 
Lol that said I dont see why Stark is the only one who gets a costume change.
 
Does anyone know how long the contracts are for the majority of the actors in the Avengers? I'm just wondering if they will all return for a possible sequel.
 
Spoiler question for people who've read the Ultimate books:

Is there a version of Kree/Skrull war in the Ultimates? Do the Kree fight the Chitauri? Are they even called Kree? I know that the Skrull also exist in the Ultimate world, but I thought they tried to distance themselves from the Chitauri and were mostly a race of scientists.
 
I don't remember the name in the books but the Ultimates movie they AREN'T Skrull but a branch of the Skrull

There is no Kree/Skrull War in the Ultimates. Both species exist in that universe but there has been no equivalent of the Kree/Skrull war. The Chitauri were the original ultimate universe counterpart of the Skrull, and fought the Ultimates. They were shapeshifters, and said they had been called many names over the centuries, including Skrull. The 616-looking Ultimate Skrulls were introduced later as sort of a pseudo-retcon.
 
Man, I just got out of the spoiler thread. I found out a bunch of stuff that won't affect my experiance, but then they started talking about, as most people have worded it, 'major character tragedy' and I got out of there as fast as I could. DON'T go in there unless you don't mind spoilers. There's quite a lot.
 
I'm guessing this thread is staying technically 'spoiler free' untill the movie comes out properly?
 
Indeed. If you want spoilers, go to the spoiler thread. But I advise you don't, although it is your decision.
 
I got out of the spoiler thread as soon as bosef quit posting. He was pretty generic in his responses.

The main actors (primarily The Avengers and SLJ) have contracts for 6 to 9 films.

All of the main actors have about 9.

RDJ's was a 4 picture deal originally I am pretty sure which will be done after im3...wouldn't be surprised though if he re-ups though since he loves playing stark so much.

Chris Evans 6 picture deal (most likely 3 Cap and 3 Avengers)

Sam Jackson was 9 picture deal (not sure if it included the end credits scene after IM1) but he'll be around for a while

I haven't been able to find the others though..

I'd assume hemsworth is also a 6 picture deal like evans (3solo's and 3 avengers) No idea on Renner and Scarjo though.. don't think stellan skarsgard would be back, but i'm purely guessing.
