Fury manipulated the team with the bloodied up Cap trading cards that were supposedly "in Coulson's pocket." There stands a chance that Coulson isn't really dead. We never saw him carried off in a body bag or anything.
This!

But it's pure speculation at this point. For all intents and purposes[BLACKOUT], until another movie proves it otherwise, we should consider Coulson dead.[/BLACKOUT]...
but yeah there's some hope

While we're on the subject of a certain someone ....
remember when Coulson was gloating about his fanhood for Cap and he told him he watched him sleeping? LOLOLOL

Hhahah. The funniest part is[BLACKOUT] he catches himself cause he noticed how weird it sounded[/BLACKOUT] LOL.
All that stuff[BLACKOUT] made his death that much more meaningful. I even felt a knot in my throat :([/BLACKOUT]

Do I like this movie better than TDK? My gf certainly did, and she loves Batman more than any Marvel franchise. I'm still a bit torn. TDK was groundbreaking because it was gritty and adult-oriented, and was a great movie that transcended the comic book category and became one of the best crime drama movies I've seen next to Heat. Avengers was by far more entertaining and awesome than TDK, a bit less polished in other respects as a film but the humor and action was well beyond TDK. I love both movies, but I'd watch Avengers more times than TDK :cwink: Best way to put it is, TDK was a great drama film, Avengers was an awesome popcorn CBM, quite possibly the best popcorn entertainment I've had, period.

To be honest TDK has set a very high bar for quality super hero film that the Avengers may or may not pass....I haven't seen it yet IDK.....It just confuses me how we got to a place where "gritty and adult-oriented" are automatically the better made movies or taken more seriously etc.

I seem to remember a movie called Star Wars that is about as dopey and stupid of a movie imaginable (really take a long hard look at the movie we all love. it's sooooo stupid, bad dialogue, weak characters, ham acting) but that's been a movie that has stood the test of time as one of the most beloved and imitated movies ever. ET another example (even though I don't really like it)

point is: I think what will probably end up happening is that TDK will be the one most people cite as the "better" movie.....but is it a better movie if you flat out just enjoy the Avengers more? If the ultimate goal is to make a movie people want to see again and again and again....maybe there needs to be a way to factor that in while still accounting for this so called "quality film" factor. I don't have the answer, just one guys opinion

Here's the thing ....

Oh sure. I think I'd rather he be dead than Vision though....he'd lose all the Coulson charm.

If they do bring him back I would hope he is still the same character

Yo spoiler tag your sentence.

Him becoming Vision would be friggin' stupid. They better not go that route.

Hey Endeavor ....
how about the scene with Ruffalo and the guy in the building that he fell thru. How funny was that? "Are you an alien?"

That would have been the perfect part for Stan Lee!

I see what you're saying .... I just don't think his acting would've been quite up to speed since the dialogue was a lot longer than the usual Stan cameos require. Harry Dean Stanton was a great choice to pull off the blank-faced delivery. I bet you Whedon had him in mind the whole time he was writing that scene.

That was hilarious! Hahaha
And I agree the actor was perfect, he often plays that part in various movies.
[BLACKOUT]BTW, on that point, did you catch where that was exactly? I must've been crying or temporarily blinded or something because I have no idea where Banner landed.[/BLACKOUT]

A hilarious interview Hemsworth did about his fight with the Hulk.

Sorry im on my mobile and can't get the spoiler tags to work but the thread title says spoiler filled so no one should be pissed.

Almost every Stark line was a gem, problem was too much laughing & cheering made it hard to hear.

Was there more easter eggs?? I may have missed some. I caught lmd and the A on Stark Tower. I also thought Thor's first costume was very close to his classic costume as they could get.

Shield I felt was well handled. I especially love when Fury said screw his bosses and ran out with a rpg and took out the plane!

I know they wouldn't kill IM but I thought they would leave him trapped in space for they next phase. Mark 8 will probably be space capable.

Thanos's face looked great. The glowing blue eyes were a nice touch. I wonder if they'll allow a figure to be made later on.

TDK is an unfair comparison, they are 2 way different films. This movie had more action in the first 20 mins than entire other movies like Wrath of the Titans. I pretty much everyone at the Chicago showing loved the film.

I thought I needed a smoke after it. I was also expecting Avengers Assemble but it during happen...

There I copied your post with added spoiler tags.

No not sure where it was .....
The guy was also like "You know I think you have a condition!" LOLOL

So that's who that was! I felt like I recognized Stanton but I couldn't quite place him. now I'm picturing him in Repo Man, one of my favorite movies. :word:

That scene was great. Not only was it funny, but it proved that all those [BLACKOUT]"naked Hulk"[/BLACKOUT] fears had a basis in fact. :woot:

I got three little letters for ya'll: [BLACKOUT]L M D.[/BLACKOUT] That's the hope I'm clinging to. My heart will go on, damn it! :argh:

LOL, it's possible...
[BLACKOUT]But would a LMD bleed like that? Hmmm.

Maybe the original is gone and gets replaced with an LMD?[/BLACKOUT]

Just realized they took off that awesome shot of Cap frozen in ice.
