I was one of the people who was unsure about Hardy's size. I felt better after seeing the other trailers... and the actual movie, I will now eat my words. Hardy looked huge and incredibly intimidating.

Yep! Hardy is 5ft10 and had 3inch lifts which boosted him to 6ft1 in the film. Also Buster reeves was used as the stunt double and who's more muscular and taller stands at 6ft1 and 6ft3 in boots! So Nolan use the stunt double, lifts, various camera angles to make Bane as big and intimidating as possible!

That secen where Gordon came to talk to him, Hardy was clearly bigger than he was in Bronson or Warrior. Along with the way Nolan shot him, he looked great throughout.
