I have a feeling its gonna look something like daredevil but with a little more yellow

I like this if they're going for something different...

What is this poop?

The costumes on the last page are ALMOST all completely terrible

with the right material the classic Wally suit or pre new 52 Barry suit would be fine

I would go with something closer to what speed skaters wear. The goal of the suit should be to look light and not like something that would weight him down. Obviously I am not saying go with spandex but perhaps something closer to the Spider-man suits.

The chest and stomach area look weird and flat. The cowl is my favorite part, I don;t really like the yellow piping though

it looks like it would be heavy and it shouldn't be. I like the yellow piping as it mimics the current suit….lots of places to add spfx sparks and lightning when he is in motion.

I think this would be a good looking material for The Flash suit.

Agreed. That looks great. Lightweight, and futuristic looking enough so that it could believably be protective. But I kind of like the idea of his helmet looking like it's made out of a harder material.

MAYBE his cowl, neck, shoulders, and possibly chest and abs could have some sort of harder looking protective material over top of the material you posted.

Protective??? Why???
Why does a man that moves faster than anything need protection?
Why does a man with reflexes faster than anyone's need protection???
If Spider-man can get by without protection I say so can The Flash.

I wouldn't mind Flash being ever so slightly armored, but I don't think I can't stress "slightly" enough. He doesn't need any form of protection whatsoever. The man can dodge a bullet, finish an entire box of cereal, and circle the globe 87 times before we can even blink. What does he need armor for?

why does he even need to be slightly armored…the guy can vibrate his molecules and pass through stuff….he doesn't need it. Is Superman gonna be armored? The Hulk? Wolverine?

I don't feel like getting into a discussion about the likelihood of him getting occasionally struck by a supervillain. It wouldn't bother me if he had a bit of armor here and there. I'll leave it at that.

I just don't see a need for him to have armor…even light armor. Spider-man gets by with no armor and his agility and reflexes are nothing compared to The Flash's.

And Spider Man got his ass kicked badly in MULTIPLE films.

Give him an intricately textured and complex looking athletic onesie. You can keep the basic look of his usual costume and use something like Jim Lee's love of lines and different textures to give different parts of the suit seemingly different functions in helping his speed.

Flash is probably the one hero who just looks awkward in any kind of armor. But if someone gives his suit the MOS treatment, I think he'll look good.

Which is true the the character. Hell there was a time when he was swinging around as Spider-Man with a broken arm in a sling. Are we now suggesting Spider-man wear armor?

I can see them using leather. It works for Oliver. I don't really care what they use as long as it looks good and is appropriate for the character.

The current Flash's costume (New 52) IS armored. In fact, the issue where he confronts Kid Flash points out a very glaring reason why: Even the fastest man alive can stumble and fall.

You could (and logically so) argue that the speed force should protect him there, too. However, the precedence for this not being the case stems to the late eighties/early nineties. Maybe before - I didn't read much of the Flash before then.

Can't remember the exact issue of the current series, don't have my comics out. But basically, there's a chase, a fall, and a bit of a super-speed tumble. While the speed force DOES protect Barry (Wally, Jay, Bart, etc) against friction and heat build up, the implications seemed to be (and this is just conjecture on what I read) is that the effects or protection are somewhere along the lines of it only helping to offset the amount he's moving.

He stopped tapping the speed-force as he fell, and while it protected him against the friction of wind, slamming water and dirt at a couple hundred miles an hour tore his costume a new one. He then made a comment to Bart about protection.

i believe he can see things at super speed….Superman does not use the speed force.

Barry's brain does process things at a rapid rate - allowing sensory input while moving at heightened speeds. In fact, there's an old villain that used to get around that. Turtle Man. Slowest criminal alive. His whole gimmick as a bank robber was that he moved so slow, the Flash's heightened senses couldn't find him. Just couldn't compensate enough.

In the New 52, it's expanded (and maybe they did this pre-N52, can't remember), but he can basically calculate probabilities at hyper-speed, using his senses. Seems to almost give him a bit of precognition when, in fact, he's basically just processing and eliminating all possible outcomes.

I look at it like this…if Green Arrow isn't running around in armor then why would the Flash?

The hardened cowl looks good, the rest of the suit not so much
