The Batman Reboot Casting Thread - Part 3

but is he bruce wayne handsome?

i don't think he's a particularly bad looking guy, he's good looking in the same way that some boxers are good looking with that flat nose and all, just not regally handsome the way bruce is/should be.

I know everyone hates on him, but Pattinson wouldnt be a bad choice. He doesnt have Bales rage, but he has kilmers broading moody thing going on.

So his selling point is "he's no christian bale but he's a val kilmer"?

Bale played Batman from a unique angle. I think if most actors tried to pull off the raging Batman, it would have been laughably cheesy (even Bale had his moments of this). A quieter, more intellectual, dectivey Bruce Wayne would right up Rpats alley in 4-5 years, I think.

As Tim Burton, when casting Keaton - "Bruce Wayne dresses up as a bat to fight crime. He is clearly a very different, just weird guy. You cant cast a totally normal, straight laced to play someone so out there". He def. has the sort of thing going on.

I don't know pattison to me is the definition of bland and milquetoast. Either way it's not like this is something that would happen.

Fassbender is the X-Men franchise, the Prometheus franchise and the Assassins Creed franchise.

I think this guy has the potential to be the next 'Fassbender':

I still say he's the best choice for the next Batman. He fits all the criteria.

i dig changeling's casting kinda. i thought i was the only one who thought paul dano would suit the riddler well, although i'd prefer michael c hall but he's not a bad choice for hush either. and while i'd rather have benicio for the joker he's not a bad choice for clayface either.

another random idea popped into my head. what about david thewlis as the riddler ?

in the movie " naked " he plays this cynical, smartass philosopher type and i think that'd fit very well with the riddler's personality .

I do. He'd be Val Kilmer without the all of the good movies from before backing him up.

He would be so out of place.

I haven't seen Kinnaman in anything so I'll reserve judgement.

Water For Elephants made me take Pattinson a little bit more seriously.

And for the record, Val Kilmer was an awesome Bruce Wayne

Val Kilmer got stuck with a crappy script, but i thought he did an excellent job and he looked the part.

poor guy signed on thinking it was going to be like the Burton films, but did he get screwed.

i think given a better script val would of been great he always had a great super hero look to him

Val was incredibly bland and mediocre. Even in the 'good' scenes that got cut.

Pattinson after Bale would be a complete disaster. It's challenging enough that they're recasting the role but to give it to him would be the death of the franchise and completely isolating the audience of the Nolan films who want a Batman we can take seriously.

And what does this ¨Fass¨ do for you, for me, for all the children of the world? Nothing. NOTHING FOR NOBODY, THAT'S WHAT!!! :p
