on a more serious note, i think i might as well hop on the "ryan gosling as batman " bandwagon. at first i was like " **** no " , but watching drive and a few of his other movies changed my perspective a bit.

The only hang-up being that he doesn't seem to want to do films of this type. So, at a certain point, it's like begging for a date with a girl who has absolutely no interest in you.

Gosling is Lisa Turtle. The Hype is Screech.

Gyllenhaal ftw. He can play intense for sure.
If he could deepen his voice in the cowl, I'd totally be down. (though I doubt he'd pull it off. Which is a shame)

He has that nice Bruce Wayne "Rich as ****" beard and that playboy face underneath. 10/10

Guys. No Gosling and no Gyllenhaal, both for the same reason. Their voices. "But they're actors! An actor's job is to change their voice depending on the character they're playing!". No. Some people just can't do it. And while I love Gosling and Gyllenhaal, they're not Batman material.

They'd both make fine Green Lanterns, or even Flashes, though.

Never say never, dude. Who would've thought Bale could pull of that unforgettable voice?

Bale has a naturally medium/deep voice, those guys don't. And Bale's Batvoice was "unforgettable" for all the wrong reasons. We need an actor who can pull off the Greenwood/Conroy voice.

Maybe for a Guillermo Del Toro Batman, Jake would give a nice Tim Burton like feel:hrt:

Jake Gyllenhaal i could see pulling off Bruce Wayne, but not too sure about Batman. his voice would need to change a lot. then again, who knew Michael Keaton could have pulled off an awesome Batman?

gotta say, i really liked Jake's intensity in End of Watch

The 'race debate' crops up in every single thread of this nature.

I think you can change a character's ethnicity if,

(a) there is something uniquely fitting about the actor/actress in question that outweighs any collateral alteration to the character caused by its ethnicity being changed, and,

(b) the character's ethnicity is not inseparable from their cultural background or character.

This formula would, in my opinion, exclude a non-white British James Bond and also a Bruce Wayne that wasn't from an ancient Anglo family. Both characters would have to be substantially re-written in order to allow for a change of race.

It would easily allow for a black Robin or an Indian Mr Freeze or whatever, though, so long as the actors in question were obviously fitting.

Evans would make a damn solid Batman

Jake Gyllenhaal wouldn't be bad. Luke Evans, Joe Manganiello, Michael Fassbender or Ryan Gosling

I honestly think right now, Evans is the best choice.

I've been watching more of his stuff, and if you see see No One Lives, combined with his performance in FAF6, you'd see Batman.

i might be in danger of getting a ***** if i keep staring at this .

but yea, jane levy would be an awesome harley.

I can get better ones :hehe:

And thank you! She'd be great as Harley! 5 think so, 2 don't, for some reason :o

Well the villains always seem to outshine Batman...so Mark would feel right at home :D

Haha I agree.

Luke Evans, Karl Urban, Jim Caviezel or Michael Fassbender would make awesome Batman/Bruce. I would love to see an older Batman this time around.

Goyer said Batman doesn't exist in MOS, which means he might be young.

However, MOS2 is supposedly going to take place 1 year after the original. JL is bound to be some time after, which means a few years might've passed. So that means Bruce is older and fully established as Batman in order to be included in JL.

And Bruce has always been a few years older than Clark. So that means, even though he's older, it still means he's been a vigilante for some time in Gotham, going by what Goyer was implying.

So in this continuity, Bruce might be in his 30's when he becomes Batman, rather than his 20's.

I hope they face a better villain than Magpie at their first meeting.

Luke Evans would be awesome. Still think Armie Hammer is the best choice though.

Never thought of Jane as Harley, but that gif convinced me.

Day 1: "The studio might have a problem casting a gay actor in the role of Batman."

Day 2: "Luke Evans for Batman!"

Me on Day 2: :lmao:

Why does it matter ? the only reason i can think of is the studio wanting to pitch Batman/Bruce Wayne to teenage girls and gay boys as a sex symbol but the actor doesn't have to be straight to do that. Ricky Martin is gay and that didnt stop girls going nuts for him.

Sexual orientantion shouldn't and hopefully will not be an issue.

Well it's mainly about Batman being surrounded by homosexual homoeroticism studies and jokes over the years. WB might want to avoid that stuff.

But who knows? Might not bother in the slightest, I don't know.
