I love him on GOT, but I'm never going to understand how he's been catapulted to SHH's #1 Batman casting choice. I just don't see it.

I feel like this is the natural response to most SHH #1 faves, lol.

...except for Henry Cavill. We were spot on with that one, guys. Go team. :woot:

I'd go for his brother before him.

I swear Joe M has to be the real SHH #1 super-hero fave, in that only those on SHH seem to think he has/had a real shot at either batman or superman.

Are Batman and Bruce Wayne still the same person? Oh, so only a cowl half the time then. Got it. :oldrazz:

I wouldn't mind a boyish looking Wayne. Bale is a good looking man but pretty boy billionaire looking he ain't.

That's the heart of our disagreement right there: I believe Wayne should be a "good looking man" rather than a "pretty boy." He should be dashing and handsome, but overall, Bruce should have a manly appeal, imo. At least less boyish than Superman, since he's the darker, more grizzled character of the two.

I see what you mean. IMO, Madden looks young because of his physique. You stick the guy in a gym for 3-6mths and he'll come out looking more mature. I think there's something in his eyes that reminds me of Keaton's brooding Wayne.

Joe's still my pick. He's got the gruff manliness, the deep voice, the badass vibe, but he's still nice enough to pull off the playboy persona, as well.

This video just sells me completely on Joe as Batman. It'd be like Conroy's Batman from BTAS come to life.

Didn't Joe M lose out the role of Supes to Cavill due to scheduling issues with True Blood or something?

I wouldn't count him out of the running for the cowl just yet.

That's what I'm saying. Snyder said he loved Joe, but he thought Cavill had the right innocence that's needed for Superman. I'd definitely agree, too. Joe is Batman, Henry is Superman.

I really hope Snyder calls him up, hopefully this time True Blood's scheduling won't be a problem.

It's possible. After Chris Hemsworth's initial Thor transformation, I've learned that ya really never know what someone might look like after packing on a ridiculous amount of muscle. But I still feel like there are plenty of better choices out there, because while I liked him well enough on GoT, I still always felt like he, Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington were the show's weaker links. So his acting skills aren't really impressive enough to make me want to ignore how wrong I think he looks for the role.

Can he act? How is his range?

He is cringeworthy in True Blood IMO.

Yeah, I've done my best to use Youtube as a resource to convince me of Joe Man-lio's merits, but have concluded that they start and finish with shirtless pictures.

Someone else, please, WB.

I wouldn't mind Luke Evans. He's worked with Cavill before, he's fairly young, and has the look of Bruce Wayne and Batman.

The only problem is that Armie Hammer might be our new Taylor Kitsch, in which Hollywood thinks he's Box Office Poison.

Kitsch has disappeared. Hammer's on thin ice, in my opinion.

I don't know... Hammer might be the actual choice (you're right), but Zack Synder worked with a certain someone on Sucker Punch...

If we're putting real money on this and not Monopoly money, I'd say, realistically it's between:

- Armie Hammer
- Joe Manganiello
- Jon Hamm

I just don't think WB/Snyder are even considering anyone else, and if they are, it's a Dollar-Sign Dream of Christian Bale or Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

becoming batman would remove that poison though. batman is about as Teflon a character as you can get. it'll be interesting to see the chemistry between henry and armie in the man from u.n.c.l.e' if armie is an option. he's freaking huge though. he's as big as mags is.

Jon Hamm and Jim Caviezel are literally Batman, but they may be too old.

I love the Liam Mcyintre suggest, he would be incredible as Batman, and young too.

I would think WB would want someone around the age of Cavill but we'll see
