The Batman Spoiler Discussion Thread

Yikes, the New York Post... :barf:

Makes sense why he wouldn't like it lol. Glad people with better taste and credibility (and self respect tbh) have been more vocal about loving it.

‘The Batman’ review: Bland and forgettable new Caped Crusader film

Holy cow. This guy dumps on the movie, but what caught my eye is his reference to it being like a Saw movie and Riddler
uses rats as a murder weapon
That’s really disturbing. I hope it isn’t too disgusting.

Hold up.... this review doesn't even mention Colin as Penguin, but yet he says "too much screentime is given to Sal Maroni and Carmine Falcone" and later says Batman visits "their nightclub".

..... Does this idiot really think Penguin is Maroni? As far as I know, Maroni isn't even shown in the film, only mentioned.

Jesus....

“He's not painted white like the Joker but I wanted to talk about his face a little more. He's kind of unfocused and behind a tinted cell window so its tough to tell but I could see his teeth along the left side of his face. The best way to describe it is Ledger's scars but imagine someone ripped them open and yanked. Pretty gnarly.”

Well that sounds unpleasant. In a good way.

I wonder if Batman ripped part of his cheek off while apprehending him? I dont recall Batman giving Joker his "smile" before, but it could be a way to deepen their connection. Like Joker was already a laughing madman with a big smile, and then Batman gives him his iconic "smile".

Remember the old rumor from 2006 or so about Joker's scars coming from either a batarang or from Batman's gauntlets?

I can definitely see Battinson being brutal enough to do that.

No.

But I remember how he got these:

Based off of pure assumption as well as everyone saying he looks disfigured I'm gonna guess this ****ed up smile was the result of the chemicals?

Cheeks don't fare well under acid or fire... just ask ol' big bad Harv.

He did this in the comics with a a batarang. Batman Confidential.

Batman and his place amongst the GCPD does seem to be a Sherlock type affair. An eccentric extremely capable consultant detective. Frankly I'm ashamed it took me until now to realize the similarity.

In Lovers and Madmen Bats flings a batarang at him that slices one cheek and he ends up finishing the job on his own by cutting the other

Shouldn't be much longer now.....

Does anybody know all of the Riddler's victims and how he kills them? I'm really liking the Se7en-esque way he's killing these corrupt officials and want to know if there's more than just the Mayor, the DA and Pete Savage. It doesn't help that the trailers all kind of give away how they die and don't mention any other victims. I saw on a LEGO set that there are 6 victims based on a Gotham City map with each target represented with a question mark, but I heard that Alfred was one of his targets, and Riddler gets caught with a question mark in his drink, so given that Alfred 100% survives, worst case scenario that ticks off 2 of the 6 targets, meaning 4 actual deaths.
