I expect either a subtitle or a The something else (rather than a number).Wonder if for the sequel they'll keep it "The Batman" with a subtitle or a number.

I cringe when I think about that scene. Come on Bruce, let the man come out of the coma fully first.
I think Serkis has the makings of a great Alfred, but there wasn’t enough for him to do here to prove it. Looking forward to seeing more from him.
I think Michael Caine and Jeremy Irons are made to be Alfred whereas it isn’t such an obvious casting with Serkis. I do think with more screen time he can be a great Alfred though. There’s very seldom I enjoy from the Snyderverse but I preferred Jeremy Irons’ take over Serkis—I think they both have roughly the same amount of screen time? Serkis wasn’t bad by any means, but I think the movie took the character of Alfred for granted and that’s where the biggest disappointment was. I genuinely expected him to die after The Riddler’s bomb.
I am sure it will because in sequel Batman will be all about inspiring hope to city instead being vengeance and trying to almost have dying wish.I hope we see more banter and friendship in the sequel. This version of the Alfred/Bruce relationship was too much hurt and pain.
Yeah, that would be nice and positive character growth.I am sure it will because in sequel Batman will be all about inspiring hope to city instead being vengeance and trying to almost have dying wish.
Yeah a really great moment to remind you how early it is in his career while showing he's human. (kinda lol).Still one of my favorite moments in the movie. It's such an easy way to differentiate from the previous Batmen and it made him more human.

I would like to see his struggle with it some more in the next film. I hope they don't go full post-tdkr where he'd be accepted by the entire city just yet. This movie was about him becoming a symbol of hope - he hasn’t operated as that yet and it only happened at the movie’s conclusion. He was a vigilante, now he’s a hero.
I’m assuming people mean that the sequel will have more explicit heroic elements and him being seen as a hero by the city for its entire duration.
Caine is definitely still my favorite. That being said, I've really really loved what I've seen from Serkis take so far. Even though he seems to be more war torn than previous versions, he's still has that fatherly presence to him. I hope we see more in the sequel. He plays a good version of a regretful failed father Alfred. Serkis was the one casting I never quite got up until the movie but I get it now. Caine is still the best Alfred, but Serkis gives a cool new take.

They hinted at this in the film, but I'd like to see more of Batman's internal struggle with - if he wasn't doing this, would it be better off for Gotham as a whole? The Riddler really showed this argument in the interrogation scene. He's obsessed with Batman's idea, his mask, everything up to the point where he finally realizes Batman isn't on his side.
If Batman didn't exist, would Riddler? In this film's universe, I think a version of him would. But not near as theatrical.
That's why if we get Court of Owls, there's no way they'd be the only obstacle. They exist either way if Bruce becomes The Batman or not.
I hope they approach that well too, as sometimes it feels like they beat it over your head.I think some elements of everything you mentioned will play a role, yeah.
I think based on the movie’s ending the vast majority should see him as the city’s protector now.
I hope they approach the “Does Batman create his rogues” theme intelligently. It’s one of my least favorite tropes along with the “But if Bruce just donated his billions the city would be a Utopia” memes. Evil, criminality and extremists would exist in-universe without him, and that overall logic just sits poorly with me. I prefer the idea that the extremism of Gotham’s conditions create pathologies in many people, some more extreme than others. Batman is an extremist, but I’m not fond of the “His rogues are a response to him” oversimplification.
I think Joker would serve as a good vehicle for that theme to be discussed, but at this point I feel like the majority of the public is likely to be on his side hopefully.
maybe its just me but does anyone else not want to see playboy bruce persona with Pattinson??
not that he cant do it he certainly has the charm and charisma to pull it off but i feel it would be too jarring to from reclusive disheveled bruce to public ladies man at cocktail parties mingling with elites
i feel a more humanitarian/philanthropist bruce with fundraisers, donating and meeting with community leaders to help gotham would work much better and probably much more relatable
I absolutely don't want Playboy Bruce. I much prefer what you've suggested
i think the best decision would be a philanthropist, suave Bruce Wayne and only a times a wacky drunk playboy.
