Can something really be considered too fantastical if it can actually be done in real life? Such as this pic of a truck being flipped using strong cable wires. If Batman made that truck flip by punching it with his hand then the point would be stronger, but alas.
Didn't it flip because there were hydraulics underneath it though?
It did, But I think he's referring to how Batman flipped it in the film.
Yeah, I was just saying it was fantastic in the sense that it couldn't have been flipped the way Batman did it in the film.
Gotcha
t:Yeah, I was just saying it was fantastic in the sense that it couldn't have been flipped the way Batman did it in the film.
Bam! It just got real.
There is no way that it would happen in real life. There's a very clear difference between a semi-truck flipping end over end because of cables attached to the front of it and twisted around lamp posts and stuck into the ground...and someone punching the hood of a car causing it to flip.

1. You probably don't have a wife. (My wife could give a damn about anything Batman related, she would never comment on the good or the bad)
2. You're just saying this because you prefer the Tumbler to the '89 Batmobile.
The '89 Batmobile's turbine engine may look phallic but atleast it doesn't look like a massive hunk of badonkadonk tumors with a ridiculous maw insect face. Believe it or not, many images we hold dear have phallic origins. Unless you're looking for it or have male genitalia on the brain, the '89 Batmobile looks fine, sleek and intimidating.
I thought this was pretty cool...

People in the drivers seat and passenger seat would be able to survived that. It's not that dramatic to the body.OR that realistically... no one would have survived that. Not Joker, not his goon squad.
I see people mention this alswere as well, and frankly I do not get it. Can you please offer pics and point out the differences?
Maybe she is working out sexual frustration, perhaps you do not please her as often as she would like so she is suffering an instance of seeing mirages. Or perhaps she has a favorite sex toy that looks like a batmobile, I don't know, I'm not Freud.![]()
The Burton Batmobile could do anything the Tumbler can in a movie setting. The Burton Batmobile drove straight through two lanes of traffic hitting and flipping cars...and it came out without a scratch. That's the magic of movies!![]()

the differences are because of the angle the photo was taken at...IMHO
Yeah it very well could be but idk. It make sense that Bruce would upgrade the tumbler to me. He would probably want it to be faster and since he doesn't need to worry about storing the batpod in there I would imagine it being lighter.the differences are because of the angle the photo was taken at...IMHO
(1) Haha. The kids are going to be very disappointed -- especially the one that's still in the oven. My wife talks alot, about all kinds of things. Last Saturday, she finally got around to her thoughts on the Burton Batmobile. What can ya do?
(2) I like the Tumbler better, but I don't dislike the Burton Batmobile. I said it looked phallic -- which it does -- not that it was appalling. It looks sleek, intimidating, a little fragile in comparison to the Tumbler ... and rather phallic.
(3) Having a wife "with male genetalia on the brain" has its benefits.

Pics of the wife or didn't happen.
They look exactly the same to me. I do hope there are upgrades to it, but I think its a bigger chance of upgrades being software rather than hardware.![]()
Ok the first thing to point out is the wheels on the front. In this new picture it looks like the two front wheels are touching. Where as you can see on the old tumbler they were separated by that metal piece in the middle. This would mean that the new car would look take on a triangular shape. Maybe I'm wrong and there's something weird going on with the depth of the picture but the wheels look like they are touching. The second thing is it looks smaller and sleeker to me. In the picture of the original tumbler on the race track it looks enormous and like a tank, and that picture is shot from far away. In the new picture it's shot close up and it doesn't look nearly as big height-wise or width-wise to me. Again maybe I'm wrong, I'll be the first to admit it if I am but thats how things look to me.
And as how Batman got another tumbler. Well remember they did have the blueprints/schematics of it (Coleman Reese confronts Fox with them). So whats stopping them from building a new one OR improving on the design and making an upgraded version of it?
